Also, let's get something clear. I think JJ is not better than White, but if you really think White is going to be the greatest and lead Auburn to greatness you will be disappointed. He would in a different style of offense but not ours.

You love New Lanier dont you? Come on. You are almost there.....

Matter of fact. So many of you motherfrickers sound like New Lanier in this thread. Am I going to have to buy breakfast tomorrow or something?

Considering that Sean was a FRESHMAN this year, yeah, i think he can win more than 6 games next year with him as the starting Qb.

Chex, I love you man but I think you are looking at things differently than Rocky and myself. You are looking at the immediate. Which is why I got my arse kicked by you guys with my initial "Sean is not the answer" 3 months ago. There is no doubt that Sean was better than JJ and would have won more games for us this year. No doubt at all and neither of us are disputing that.

But, looking forward, it is only a temporary solution. The end game is to get back to what we do best with the tools we have. Meaning the retard offensive play caller and head coach we have. Love Gus but he is not the know it all we thought he was. Like most coaches, he is limited to what he is good at and he needs the tools that fit his skill set.

You guys were very emotional about this subject when JJ was shitting in the bed early and all our dreams were getting ran over by Jacksonville State. Sean came in, showed great promise but eventually he would have hit the Gus ceiling very quick. We are not geared to run a dominate offense with that style with Gus as the helm.
We could have won 8 or 9 games for sure with Sean back there but I think that is about it.

We need a different style back there and we will find one.. If not next year, hopefully Sean can carry us.....

It's Old Rocky talking his opinion after the season, and watching our shite show once again. I will always like Old Lanier more, but New Lanier has a place in discussions.

I might add new Lanier started appearing soon after getting your molds from China. I was worried you were inhaling some dangerous fumes.

The bottom line is that we need a dual threat QB to even sniff a Natty. I don't give a shite what anyone says.

considering the fact some of our WRs had a record amount of drops in those games.

The Wr's dropped balls every game. I agree with what has been said. White has talent, I appreciated his attitude and effort. I believe we will struggle to win against elite teams if he is our best option.

so a QB who don't even start for his JUCO team is supposed to be the man next year?

totally agree with you on this. Sean isnt the perfect fit for Gus's offense, nor is Gus competent enough to tailor the offense to fit Sean's skillset. The only way that we can get to championship level is to have a duel threat Qb with a big arm that can throw the deep ball accurately.

But looking to next year, what options do we really have at the Qb position? A JUCO transfer, a true freshman, a redshirt freshman coming off surgery, and a redshirt Sophomore with a years experience under his belt. In a perfect world, JUCO guy will be able to come in and grasp the offense and away we go, but i am not as confident as you are that will happen. Jason Smith was a good Qb at the JUCO level and he never got a shot. Whats the difference bt Jason Smith and this other guy?

That's because Gus was already dead set on JJ. Smith chose to move to wr like a week into camp when he saw the writing on the wall.

I hate to be the one to say it but I would not be shocked to see JJ as our starter next year. We better hope he transfers because Gus's love for him is incredible.

Would also not be shocked to see Sean White as the starter with 'packages" for JJ to come in and run mickey mouse plays.

IF JJ is here next year he will be involved with our offense one way or another.

Gus is coaching for his job next year. Dont see this happening at all....The only way JJ sees the field is on the trick play where he lines up as a WR, gets thrown the ball and then heaves it up deep into double coverage play.

Gus rewards loyalty. If JJ stays he's going to be involved.

What the frick are you talking about? Johnson was pulled after 3 games for a RS FR and played Wildcat decoy WR/QB until Sean White became crippled.

Ya, Gus throws the kid a bone when giving him the Wildcat snaps, but if SW didn't get injured he never plays another meaningful QB snap at Auburn

Gus may reward loyalty, but I can assure you that the people in charge of our AD don't. Get the drift? Gus Malzahn is out if we shite the bed next season; I'm not sure if you're trolling or trying to be funny, but Jeremy Johnson aint doing shite at Auburn next season. Gus isn't putting his job on the line because he's "loyal" to a shitty QB
