I've come to like and be in agreement with new Lanier. I don't know what this means.

Of course I agree we aren't developing it which is why I posted what I did. The part about not recruiting talent was for those who disagreed with me. It is one or the other.

Reality is knocking at your door

I looked at this season a few months backs and where we go from here. It did not look good

New Lanier is full of shite

To be honest I really don't care if he does transfer. Biggest bust in AU history. Well toss up between him and Frazier.

I do. It means we had to waste this whole freaking season on some lame duck schmuck while White and Wallace are on the bench and could have done a way better job. frick Malzahn.

No, it means that he sees the writing on the wall. It doesn't change anything about what has already happened. Anyone who has been paying attention knows this season is completely different if we go with White from day 1. That, however, is irrelevant now. At least Johnson has taken himself out of the running and opened up scholly space.

Well, yeah. It's not like anyone could have seen that coming, though.

I'm not shocked and I don't really care. He isn't D-1 FBS material. I wish him all the luck in the world and I hope he improves his game.

For whatever, reason, he just did not have it here.

I hope he does go somewhere and succeed.

I wasn't disputing that. It just makes it more annoying/frustrating as a fan in some aspects. This season wasn't fair to Wallace (i think it's fair to say he can probably read a defense way better on the field + not miss a 15-yard wide open target), White, the WR's, and RB's. Malzahn is a complete derpfrick. You know White is the better option if healthy enough but you go with a lame duck that's not in your future in a winnable season-saving Iron Bowl at home? For what? The only thing I can think of is he didn't want a bad performance to happen and have White ruined moving forward. Malzahn overthinks everything.

Sean White isn't the answer either. You would have been pissed and bitching about him too. Our season was doomed before it ever started.

White obviously wasn't healthy. Gus even said so after the game.

You think Gus just threw the game because he wants to stick it to message board posters with his stubbornness?

I have seen zero proof of this on Bryan Matthews's account or anywhere else on twitter, and google isn't showing anything either.

cant stand that some Auburn fans write off Sean because JJ is such a shitty Qb. He is White, get over it. He is an accurate passer. Fact. We didnt need a mobile Qb yesterday. We needed an accurate one.

That bothers me too.

How many people on here would've written off Brandon Allen after his redshirt freshman season... now he's the best qb in the conference with a bunch of scrub WRs.

He may not be the answer... but he deserves a fair shake from the fanbase.

Yep. Kid is a FR. He may or may not be the answer, and nobody can really have a definitive opinion on it after just this year.

White may not be THE answer, but he was certainly a better answer than JJ. No doubt about that.

In retrospect, our QB depth chart should have been: 1. White, 2. Queen, 3. JJ. Not starting White for the season hurt us in some winnable games (MSU and Arky). Queen is out for the year with surgery and White goes down. Then, you are stuck with your 3rd string QB starting. No D1 team wins with that.

Personally, I think it is less about White and more about his style of play not fitting Gus. Sean is a great talent.

But we have been over that a million times.

PAM.

I think it is widely believed that is likely. If he wants to play, that's probably what he needs to do. He might start in the bowl game, depending on White's health, but I don't see him having a legitimate chance to be the starter after that.
