He's a little early but if he spent 2ish years at ASU, he'd be in line for this type of job.

What's your point? Most coaches that are competant start out mid-20s as a postition coach. I agree, the hire is lackluster, but let's not act as if his age is some shocking unchartered territory.

I've had a day to think about this and find myself agreeing with the posters that don't seem to mind this hire as much. My inner posi barner coming back out. It's do or die time and something in me thinks we're going to see some good stuff out of Gus this year. He's getting all of his guys and his pieces in place. He's head coach and I'm fine if he wants to go down doing it his way.
