Depending on what Houston does next season, I wouldn't mind seeing Tom Herman come to Auburn under a new AD as well after next season.

Didn't we say the same stuff about Gus that we are now saying about Herman?

I want to see how he progresses as a coach before hiring another offensive guru with one good year of HC experience. I mean we are talking about firing Gus who went to the NC in his first year.

Color me cautious.

YES! It's certainly necessary to be cautious.

Herman's pedigree is more impressive though both as an OC and HC. Gus's 9 win season at Arky State was okay, but it wasn't making headlines like Houston was this past season.

I get being cautious but what Herman has done in his one year at Houston is impressive. I know they had some good years but they are very good and he is recruiting at an unbelievable level for there. If they have similar success this year Herman's stock will be sky high.

So we lose one of the best recruiters in football and hire a kid to teach our receiver who had what, 10 catches in his college career?

Gus will fill out his staff with

Jake Holland - Linebacker coach
Neiko Thorpe - DB Coach
Jonathon Wallace - QB Coach
Tommy Trott - Tight ends

I am now officially on the Fire Jay Jacobs bandwagon.

Unfrickingbelievable.

I never expected an Auburn fan to provide Thayer Evans as a source for one of our hires, but is anyone truly surprised by Kodi coming?

Should be an interesting year.

Let the fun commence.

You guys are funny. You killed Chizik for being a yes man. Gus seems to make his own decisions, and you kill him for running people off. Short of Belichick, you guys won't be happy.

Why, because he went out and picked up the safest of hires? I hope Kodi kills it and Gus wins 12 games. I am not pleased with recent events, but it's not the end of Auburn football. As I said earlier I wish Gus the best and the program will continue to have my support.

Who else would leave their job a few weeks after signing day?

DC did...

Gus is a young coach and doesn't have deep lists to pick from yet. He got who he could and I hope they both succeed.

Clemson is going to drill us

Dabo
Venabals
Watson

vs.

Gus
Steele
JF3

Lulz

We will be lucky to win 5-6 games. That may seem nega to some but look at the schedule. Everyone is trending up with the exception of maybe moo state and they're better coached. TAMU is a mess and they'll probably hire Hermen

Clemson - Loss
Arky State - Win
TAMU - Win
LSU - loss
ULM - Win
@ Moo - Loss
Arkansas - Loss
@Ole Miss - Loss
Vandy - Win
@UGA - Loss
Bama A&M - Win
Bama - Loss

That's 5 wins with 7 being our ceiling if we somehow beat 2 or Arky Moo Ole Miss.

We need to Hire Hermen before TamU does.

Herman is wanting the TX job. Strong recruited well so we will see how this season goes. If Strong starts winning and looking like he is going to be there a while, maybe Herman will get impatient and decide to move on.
