I can't believe a more important question hasn't been raised so far in this thread.
Why didn't Johnson have his sleeves on against SJSU?
He had a power ratio against Arky, and we saw how well that worked. Then he just abandoned them. Very troubling.

Picture this on the field- 2 longsnappers, 3 kickers, all 5 QBs and a chaz ramsey effigy would give teams fits on prep. Book it, it will happen.

I thought the HS offense comment at the end would give me away, but my humor apparently doesn't translate well via text.
Real response: I've never been a fan of the 2 QB system, but JJ is so good you have to let him play. If he keeps improving he could be a 3 and gone guy, so use him while we have him. I think Marshall runs the offense better. He has more experience, makes good reads, and the offense is more explosive so he needs to be the guy. I'd like to see JJ anytime the games not in danger and in situations where the everybody and their mama knows we are going to pass. I also wouldn't be opposed to seeing us use whichever QB matches up with the other teams weaknesses better. Nick Sabans been rebuilding his defense to match up better to running QBs and Bamas weakness is their secondary? Let JJ get a lot of snaps unless Marshall just has a hot hand.

With the way our o-line is playing on the run/read-option, NM won't work during the meat of our schedule. If NM keeps the vast majority of snaps, AU loses 3 games this year. There are two 1st round draft picks sitting on the wings that could more than make up for a lack of run-blocking push.

I'm holding out hope that 'maybe' Gus is saving his weapon in JJ for games w/ tougher opponents. Even though it would feel better to put JJ in when Nick looks to be having an off game against our past opponents like KSU (and today w/ LA Tech), maybe Gus wants Marshall to play as much as possible against these teams we're supposed to beat (even though I would feel more secure in our passing attack seeing JJ now), then break out JJ for the tougher road ahead.
Or, Gus might stick w/ Nick for the rest of the games, it's hard to tell at this point in the season.
