JFC dude, there's your fricking problem. This shite is bigger than winning/losing a damn football game. Competitive disadvantage or not, I'd want my coach opening up all resources for me to make my own decision and not forcing me into one just to win a damn football game.

God, family, and football.
You just cussed Jesus wtf. Families are losing loved ones because of perceived freedoms. Then, football. Just win, baby!! I think I got my priorities straight lol.

Lastly, when this was Trump’s vaccine and Kamala was concerned about taking it before the election, y’all weren’t cheering on Kamala. This is politics. Get real.

What the branch covdidans want is for coach to say he forced all the team members to get the vaccine against their will. That would have made him an effective leader in their small minds.

Umm, you do realize him having COVID and no symptoms justifies his lack of concern right?

If you cannot see the competitive disadvantage of constant testing then I’ll just let it go.

Man we coulda beat UGA this year if Bo Nix hadn't had to spend 10 seconds getting tested Wednesday morning before the game.

What? You worried he's gonna spread it to all those 18 year old kids and maybe give them a runny nose?

Well, if that happened then we would forfeit whatever game was next regardless of symptoms or severity.

Or if our new coach wouldn't have missed basically the last two weeks of practice leading up to the season, maybe we potentially wouldn't get beat by them.

He is getting paid upwards of $6MM to win football games. Full stop.

The data fully supports this vaccine being less likely to kill you than this virus. If this coach can't take the position that other coaches in this league are taking and do everything he can to help this team win football games, than he is not doing his job.

This whole argument that it's about more than winning football games. Bull fricking shite. What it comes down to is winning games and if you make it harder on your team to win games, you're not doing your job.

If a coach implements things in their program to enrich their lives and help with academics outside of football, fantastic. I hope every coach includes those in their program, but bottom line, they are getting paid to win football games and if they are making decisions that get in the way of that, they aren't doing their job.

It has always been political from the start, maybe an intentional leak. But the political spin that has been coming out and the suppression of peer reviewed studies while touting other that fell apart under viewing...this has always been about control...it also is showing about control in this thread with those touting that the coach should force kids to get a vaccine just to play a darn game...Think about that for a second...

Please back that up with hard data for the age group in question. Then provide the same data that people of this age group has been having adverse affects after taking the vaccine. And with this age group the survival rate is well over 99.2%. So if they get covid naturally, they are very likely to survive, period.

So it counts if people get COVID Correct? So just like the Chicken Pox invite all the no vaccine takers over and get them COVID then all the people shouting about getting the vax would be fine because they could all skip the testing because the number would be 100%...problem solved.

Can we edit this to be the official COVID thread and contain the bickering here? It’s clearly not going to end any time soon. Can we at least keep it in one place?

What happened to the HIPPA laws with respect to personal medical information on vaccinations

Well it is HIPAA (look it up). It is very misunderstood, but only covered entities (doctors, nurses, hospitals, insurance companies) are covered. It is the Health Insurance Portability law (no insurance transaction, not HIPAA)
