I truly hope he stays that way but if he actually treated this pandemic as cavalier as he came off at media days...

If it had to be so much better today, than in two weeks, or two months from now.

Get well Coach

In an office of 140, we’ve had 6 fully vaccinated employees catch COVID in the last 2 weeks.

Point being, no matter what your vaccination status you’re still prone to it.

It matters on the severity of the symptoms. Way to go coach. No wonder the team is at best 60% vaccinated. Should take the example of the coach across the state.

Prayers for the extremely healthy man with a 99.96% chance of survival. In the off chance he doesn't make it, can I call dibs on the widow?

Who knew the covid Karens wouldn't be able to control themselves in this thread.
I'm sure the covid cheerleaders are having a field day with this.

No covid battle here. C19 is winning. This is a leadership issue.

Did they say how many of our players are in quarentine? Get well soon coach.

Is Karen also a cheerleader in this scenario or more like a coach? And where’s the pics?

Vaccination status won’t change severity of symptoms if comorbidities are present. It just affects everyone different despite vaccination status.

And the vaccine doesn’t prevent you getting Covid or spreading it. As a matter of fact, Covid isn’t going away, ever, and will continue to mutate because it is also carried by animals - which, in turn, cause mutation of said virus.

All that being said, it’d be cool for the team to be 85% vaxxed just so we wouldn’t have to constantly test and maybe have a normal season without interruption. In the end it’s a personal choice and bigger than football.

not good. There will certainly be coaches and players who will quarantine.

So you think proper leadership should tell healthy young men to have something injected into their bodies that nobody knows what could cause later in life? All over a virus with a 99.8% survival rate?

Yes, that is exactly what they think. They are hurt because they can't go twitter and virtue signal about their team being ____% compliant.

And....Coach Harsin has been their coach for 8 months. He's not their parent. He's not their minister. He's not their spouse. Why would a player be hammered on getting vaccinated by his HC?

It's a personal decision. Has nothing to do with leadership in your sense.

He is leading...just not the way you like it...

Come down off the ledge...It will not impact the first game..

In changing my tune on Covid but I think kids are fine. As for you and me, my wife has seen 33 years old dude with no known preexisting conditions clinging to a ventilator. She sells ventilators for a company on the public market called Viemed. A 33 year old on a ventilator should hit home so now I’m fully vaccinated.

As for the self righteous fricktards in March 2020 that called me an a-hole for being healthy but not self quarantining even though I had to raise a family they can still frick themselves.

I agree this could throw off momentum, but it’s far from “worst timing.”

It sucks now but it’s not game week and unless he’s feeling rough, I'm sure there are ways for practice to be streamed and be involved with feedback/film study via video. Ideally it wouldn’t happen at all, but it’s better it happened now then before the meat of the schedule.
