Wife texted me this morning on
My way back to Georgia. Her hospital has 100 Covid patients right now. 47 in ICU on vents. Of those, the majority of them are in their 50’s like me. Most will die. Yesterday, a healthy 36 year old died and today a 35 year old is on his death bed.

Everyone can keep pushing the political agenda if they want but is is as bad right now as it has been since it started. Be careful and just stay the hell away from direct contact with people right now if you can.

Decipher that anyway you want but it is what it is.

I’ll decipher it like this:

It is a respiratory virus that is spread via aerosols and has an animal reservoir. Any delusions that we will ever get rid of it or vaccinate it out of existence is absurdity of the highest order.

Acting like it is something we can eventually eliminate has been one of the worst responses to this we could have had.

This.

Why don’t people understand this?

That vaccine (and mask too), despite how “safe” it’ll make you feel, won’t protect you from Covid-19 or prevent you from spreading it.

So you think proper leadership should tell healthy young men to have something injected into their bodies that nobody knows what could cause later in life? All over a virus with a 99.8% survival rate?

I think if you're one of the top 5 most influential people in the state, you should be able to give a thoughtful answer about whatever your vaccination status is.

I couldn’t have said that any better, Lanier. We have to be able to respect the virus while getting our lives and our nation back moving again. We don’t need any more stimulus.

Whatever it is to you or what ever you believe, just do your best not to get it if you can. What ever measures you feel you need to take...

Stay healthy bro

The vaccine is safe and saves lives. Over 600,000 dead that were unvaccinated only 1,587 vaccinated folks have died.

Of the 8,054 hospitalized breakthrough COVID-19 cases, at least 1,587 deaths are known to have occurred. This is still a tiny fraction of the 168 million people who are vaccinated in the United States.

Over 96 percent of people who died in Montana and 99.91 percent in New Jersey were not fully vaccinated

But most people requiring hospitalization are unvaccinated. So you do you I guess, I'm personally a 38 yr old and I'm a direct target of the need so I took that step immediately. I dunno if I want a tube down my throat and completely alone from family on a death bed. Stop politicizing this and just be sensible. Did your folks do the same thing with your measles, polio vaccines. What about when it gets full approval late this month or early next month--still going to believe that nonsense? The same people got Darwin'd out during those early 1900 diseases

What does it really matter if you know if he is vaccinated or not? All it would be is another arguing point. just a bunch of people running around trying to prove they are "right"

Vaccinated or not. Do what you can to keep from getting it as long as you can. Protect yourself and your family anyway you feel necessary.

Stay healthy and keep your distance as much as possible to keep your life going.

I dont give a shite about the political points being made with the virus. It really is pointless and nothing will be agreed upon. I am pretty confident that it is not the common flu like earlier labeled and it is killing people of all ages and all health conditions. That I know is true.

I dont want to see any of you guys get it. Stay healthy

Frick Covid and frick this damn conversation. Hope anyone that has it or gets it gets well quickly.

But we ignore a pandemic of greater death. The drug pandemic. Why not show video and have drs on tv constantly talking about the dangers and such. It kills and destroys many more lives.

Covid is serious and should be taken as such but it’s a political football.

It’s not pointless. It affects the team.

In changing my tune on Covid but I think kids are fine. As for you and me, my wife has seen 33 years old dude with no known preexisting conditions clinging to a ventilator. She sells ventilators for a company on the public market called Viemed. A 33 year old on a ventilator should hit home so now I’m fully vaccinated.

As for the self righteous fricktards in March 2020 that called me an a-hole for being healthy but not self quarantining even though I had to raise a family they can still frick themselves.

Wow. Is this the best you can do at admitting you might have been wrong?

Vaccination status won’t change severity of symptoms if comorbidities are present. It just affects everyone different despite vaccination status.

And the vaccine doesn’t prevent you getting Covid or spreading it.

Then what is it supposed to do?

The team will be tested and they will take care of things internally. You and me knowing what his status is is pointless. Im sure the people in the know internally know his status

Which was my point

Oh it doesn't matter one bit to me. But there are countless other Alabamians who will follow his lead including about 100 men who plan to suit up for AU this season.

There are plenty of people that may not need to be vaccinated. But because of the health condition of many Alabamians, that's not the case. If you're in a position to speak to/influence 1000s of people on the issue, be sophisticated enough to have a nuanced conversation about it. That's all I'm saying

But why go thru this if it can be avoided?
