Student22 on ITAT said that three different people told him that Pat Nix will be the QB coach on Jimbo’s staff next year
Jimbo through all the years has never even thrown a hint that he was interested in Pat Nix on his staff.
Until now.
Lets see if Pat Nix is willing to play that sleazy game.

What channel is it on in bham?

Bo calls his own number on 4th and goal to take the touchdown lead..

So with the rule about not recruiting a kid from the school a university hires a coach from. If AU were to hire Pat Nix this year, AU would not be allowed to recruit kids from Pinson. If Bo transferred to Auburn High would he be eligible or would his ban transfer as well?

Rule only applies to off field positions. If Pat got an on field job college job could still recruit his former school

Throws a TD adding some cushion and then runs it in for another TD to clinch the game.

Nix, gatewood, or Willis? Who y'all got?

Stidham, then Willis, then Bo.. Gatewood will be a really good TE, imo.

Jimbo is settling into the SEC quite nicely.
ETA That's an SEC move if I have ever seen one.

Have you watched Gatewood play? He’s perfect for the zone read/QB power game that makes Auburn’s offense so dangerous. He’s going to need 1-2 years to be a more polished passer but the kid has a all of the tools to be dynamic at the next level at QB.

Gatewood has the higher upside of the three. Bo is the safest of the three though.

That surprise onside was the momentum shifter no doubt, such a gutsy call.

Yes, I've watched all of our commits. I'm not saying he isn't a great athlete and great player, I'm just not completely sold he'll be developed in to a great QB.

And that is what worries me.. it might be different with Lindsey at AU but Gus hasn't proven he can polish a passer out of the high school ranks. Frazier, Burns, JJ, SW? I'm just basing my opinion on his record. I'll admit, Willis might be the one to break that trend, at least i hope so.. just being honest.

I am not sold on Willis. We have seen him run some garbage time zone reads. No legit passing. Let’s hope Bo and Gatewood pans out.

Just bc you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean he can’t do it.

I think we could argue against having JJ and Sean in this discussion. JJ was a very good passer but he just didn't have the head for the game at the higher level and that isn't something you can coach out of a kid. Sean could make the passes when he was healthy, just couldn't stay that way for long.
I will give you Burns and Frazier. Problem was that Kodi was recruited by Tubs and had a couple years before Gus came along. The one that missed was Frazier. What a let down at the college level he was, thought he would be great under Gus' system.

I’ll say this, I’ll believe it when I see it in regards to Gus Malzahn developing a high-school QB. Sean White isn’t enough for my liking.
