Over $4k if it's still around $20 a gram.

Depends on the grade of marijuana in possession. No one buys a half-pound at a time for "personal use" so its hard to get a real consumer-sided dollar value. You're looking at probably ~$1500+ for high quality stuff, maybe like ~$500 for reggie...with a mid-grade strain running somewhere between those two numbers.

The value from the dealers end would depend on the quantity they sell it at. Realistically no one is going to sell nearly a half-pound in dime-bag increments unless you are talking about real low-end dealers who deal to HS kids, so they aren't likely to see "over $4000". Who knows.

I have never smoked pot, or done any drugs.

Have made up for it in alcohol over the years though.

No, my wild oats have all been sown. But I have worked closely with a non-profit near us. They house men with D&A issues as well as men coming out of prison. Some guys make it, most don't. Meth has a grip on a certain segment of society. Problem with it is even once you quit, you keep the holes in your brain.

Speaking of being fricked if you ever get busted with a lot of weed..

I had a buddy who, before I met him, got busted with I believe 120 lbs in his trunk. A guy he was good friends with set him up and served him up to the police.

This was a long time ago, maybe a ten years. I met and got to be good friends with the guy a couple of years after. Dude actually avoided hardly any jail, think he got 20 days. He had to do a year of house arrest though. It also cost him about 150k I believe. He got the best attorney around and actually bribed the judge by contributing about 100k to his campaign or something like that. I don't remember all the specifics but it was interesting to hear. Problem was dude did get a felony charge for the massive amount he had and was fricked work wise even though he had a good degree from a good school (not AU).

Haven't talked to him in a few years but I know he had gone broke and really couldn't make a decent living because no one would hire him in his field and he had try selling cars, working security, working at night clubs, etc. And dude was really smart, charismatic, good looking, etc. He made several hundred k but it ruined his future prospects to ever make a decent living llegitimately when he got busted.

ETA: actually, thinking back I believe it was 80 lbs. Can't remember exactly as it was a long time ago but it was a few hundred K worth.

shitty to say and hard to hear but those are the consequences of life choices. Someone set him up but they didn't force him to move the stuff unless he had no knowledge of it being there at all, in that case I would have rolled over on the kid who set me up.

I never felt bad about him getting busted except for the fact it was a buddy who set him up. I think he probably rolled on him, but he didn't say why the guy did and I didn't ask. Plus it was before I met him and he still came out ahead money wise and did little jail time at the end of the day.

What I did feel bad for him about is a decade later he has gotten older, run out of money and been working shitty jobs ever since when he really could have been successful.

I have heard some amazing stories working with these guys. One young man whose family owns a chain of Funeral Homes and a Casket making business has been court ordered to live at the rehab. He can't leave! His expenses are covered by the trust fund he could be living large on. Problem is meth has made him Schizophrenic. He set himself on fire (on purpose) in his parents house, trying to kill his demon! Spent a year almost in the *Grady Hospital Burn Unit.

*If you are in Atlanta, and you get shot/stabbed, burned or in a bad wreck, make them take you to Grady. Best Level One Trauma center around. You will want to get out of there once you are in the clear.

Now saying 340 grams (~12 ounces) seized LOL.

They are waiting on fingerprint/DNA tests done on the gun found.

So what are his chances of being a redemption story at AU after jail time? Hopefully he has a good jail weight room. Coach Russell can just fax thw jail his workouts. Will be like multiple redshirt season S&C
