Mike Gundy - doubt he would leave
Jimbo Fisher - doubt he would leave
Bobby Petrino - I could get behind that but concerned our D would take a hit
PJ Fleck - Don't want. Unproven and we see how that turned out last time.
Dave Aranda - I would be happy with this
Bret Venables - Would be happy, but rather have Aranda
Chip Kelly - Pass
Bob Stoops - I don't understand this. I thought Stoops was done coaching. BTW what reason did he give for retiring?

"Health," but I personally think he was "pushed out" after mishandling the Joe Mixon fiasco.

Setting up this year's loser loses his job battle. Who will be this year's Les Miles?

I'll take Mike Gundy or Mike Leach, keep our defensive staff.

I know this would never happen but I'd love to see a competent QB year and year out at Auburn.

I haven't read this thread at all. First post I see has:

Mike Leach never establishes a running game. He would fail miserably.

there is no clear upgrade out there

At this point, a Moon Pie and an RC Cola would be a clear upgrade.

Aranda and Venables are the only two on that list worth pursuing. Jimbo is the only other one worth considering.

Kelly / Stoops - not coaching again (at least not college).
Petrino - has lost 9 games thus far with Lamar Jackson on his roster. Horribly overrated.
Gundy - won't leave Okie State.
Fleck - flake.

Love him or hate him but Finebaum is WELL connected and has ALWAYS said Jimbo would leave FSU in a hurry for the right job

Finebaum is full of sh#%, he said Bo Jackson would crack bats over his leg in college, in college?? They use aluminum bats. He is a blow hard that says things to get attention, true or not..

As much as I hate it, Dan would fricking thrive at Auburn.

I firmly believe that as well. He's taken a perennial dumpster fire and turned them into a consistent winner
