Nick Marshall has Gus sitting at 4-1. No way he believes that.

Pretty sure that Marshall isn't the lone or even the primary reason we are 4-1. He hasn't lost us any games and has played well but I'm not into absolutism or any other isms tbh so I say it is unlikely but possible.

Give what up?
The hope of Nick Marshall playing. He's not. Period.

Not a source...the HC at Auburn said he had not made a decision.
It's no secret that he keeps injuries and info of injuries close to vest. Justin Garrett was day to day for how long? What about Jeff Whitaker, with a torn ACL nonetheless?

Nick Marshall won't play in this game, and there's no reason for him to. We'll be fine with Jeremy Johnson at quarterback.

If JJ plays Sat. It wouldn't be a waste of a year. He could get valuable experience against W. Carolina and FIU. Not to mention if we ever get a nice lead on UT or Arky JJ could come in. The reverse would be the same for the "big 3" games. If we are getting blown out like last year put him in and let him play the final qtr.
I'm starting to lean this way. Plus there's the chance NM might get reinjuried later this season. If he can't play this week, burn JJ's RS

It's good to see some of y'all coming around to the sane back-up option. Knee injuries are a fickle thing, especially when not rested and rehabbed properly. Without his lateral quickness and running ability, it might as well be Wallace starting back there(almost). Bring on JJ!

What reliable sources though? And who from Rivals is saying this? Just wondering..
Hoke and he never uses the phrase reliable sources unless he is very confident in the info. Also info tweeted by the Fake Gabe account and later has something similar posted by one of the pay sites has been money nearly 100% of the time.

I think FGW has basically come out and said he knows Nick Marshall.

No shite. Just as I wouldn't say Cam was the sole reason for 2010, but you know that he made a huge impact through his play, leadership, and elevated those around him.

Is that what Marshall is bringing to the team? I don't know, but many said he was a leader before the year began, and had confidence on the field. The difference on the team this year is the new leadership of Gus and crew. That in turn has permeated throughout the team and a new attitude is born. Did Gus do that himself? Hell no, but it sure starts with him.

Can't imagine it any other way considering the info he posts and what it relates to

if FGW was 100%, Marshall wouldn't even be in school right now.

read closer spark. I said "and later has something similar posted by one of the pay sites". The Marshall not coming was never remotely hinted on by the pay sites. I never said FGW info alone was at or near 100%.

He has been posting fairly good info for over a year before Auburn even thought about bringing in NM. He has to know people on or close to the team.

AUC insider says JJ will play. Doesn't say he'll start, but it says Marshall will play a few series if he feels good enough, and that JJ will play.

I see a Wallace transfer in the near future if that is true. Coach would rather burn a RS over less than a full game than play Wallace?

If Wallace doesn't transfer, put him in at receiver like they're doing with Kiehl. Kid has heart and can probably contribute there at least as a blocker. If nothing else, at least he'll put some effort in it unlike some of our other receivers.

Yup, look for wallace to become a GA, possibly after year 3, if he can graduate

He does not have the talent at QB to get much transfer interest. As others have said, Kodi 2.0. His intangibles will help the team even if he does not find a playing spot.
