Ya but not a take right now.
In other words, its one of those non-offer offers.

Yup. Personally if you can't commit then it's not an offer but that's how this dumb game of recruiting works. The good thing is now teams can send written official offers which really lets you know where you stand with a school. I doubt he got a written official offer

So now if a school sends a written official offer and the recruit accepts it, can it later be rescinded by the school?

This is why I don't worry too much about this staff's recruiting.

The amount of talent we have managed to pull over the last three cycles while putting such an underwhelming product on the field leads me to believe that a solid 2017 season will lead to a top 5 class in 2018, regardless of how things look currently.

I am sure there is language in there that let's schools wiggle out of things. My understanding though is teams typically don't send written official offers out to players unless they are ready to accept their commitment.

Nothing is locked in until the LOI is signed and faxed. However, the written version is typically a little more firm than a verbal offer

Rivals jumped the gun on a Matthew Hill to AU commitment story. Wasn't supposed to be posted until tomorrow apparently. It was left up for about 25 minutes.

Actually per other recruiting reporters they don't mean much in the end ultimately either because they aren't binding. The only papers that having real meaning from a school standpoint is Financial Aid papers (binding from school side) & NLI papers (binding from both sides).

It's not a binding offer so there's nothing to rescind. It just basically means a school is highly interested in the recruit at that time. FWIW written offers are nothing new. They have been sent out on August 1 to SRs for years. There is just more exposure now because of twitter.

Hill is AU's second highest rated commit FWIW. If ya'll haven't checked his film out, do it. Dude is a stud. Will be a bit time deep threat for us. Also close friends with Justin Fields.

Who is next? Jibunor still supposed to announce sometime soon?

Going to watch Fields tonight, hopefully get a chance to talk with him and see where he's at.
