Blakely was so good in high school. One of my favorite backs we've recruited. Sucks that he couldn't get it straight
I loved Blakely coming out of high school. I hate it that the kid couldn't get it together.

KN says Travis Williams & Chip Lindsey visited 4* LB JJ Peterson today. Lindsey is good buds with Rush Propst which is probably why he was there (area recruiter). KN says Bama is the team to beat but thinks AU is trending up & might be #2 for him. UGA is probably #3

Also someone asked about 4* QB Gerry Bohanon who is supposed to commit this Friday. KN says MSST definitely the team to beat there because they want him only as a QB. Apparently AU & others were pitching shot at QB but recruited as an ATH
IMO dude is a perfect fit for Mullen's scheme and we will probably have to deal with him 2-3 years from now & some will be bitching about why we didn't recruit him

I like that Mullen has recruited him. Gatewood will be a bust. Let's get this guy.

We won't have Mullen coaching him up though so still a wildcard

UGA crystal balls flying in for Master, weird recruitment

The latest 3 are all following Wiltfong pick. Don't think they have info themselves. What's interesting is KN and Kipp Adams both picked AU this morning. So the team insiders for his top 3 have all picked AU but the national expert has gone UGA. Probably could go either way at this point

my hope is that Gus has turned a new leaf, with regards to prioritizing having a true QB coach on the staff

For some reason I've just felt like we end up getting this kid. Even back when we weren't really the main competition for him, I just thought he was a good fit.

Depends on how he's developed. There isn't an evaluator out there that isn't in love with his tools. But he's completely raw. A part of that is a lack of reps. He has 5* tools but won't be ready to make an impact at QB for 2+ years, IMO.
We need Lindsey to hang around a few years and/or when he leaves we HAVE to make sure we have a great next hire at the QB coach position.

247 says that Calvin Ashley, Wilson Bell and Casey Dunn are all reporting today. OL reinforcements have arrived

Which my response is
1) Calvin Ashley -
2) Wilson Bell -
3) Casey Dunn -

2) Wilson Bell -
Wilson Bell started for a national championship team's OL and is viewed by some as one of the breakout interior OL for next year's draft (Matt Miller)

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is that he kept losing his job to freshmen - not exactly a glowing endorsement by his head coach.

You mean after a 5* FR took over after Bell injured his ankle?

I have no idea if Bell or Dunn will start or play much but at a minimum they add experienced depth and increase the competition for opening spots this fall. Those are good things

Not exactly. The article below doesn't indicate that Bell was ever injured when he was replaced.
Yes exactly.
Are hasn’t played at all, due to a concussion,[link=(
