WR Ramel Keyton
Recruiting wrap: Florida, Syracuse and Tennessee, among others, have offered. Florida is the early favorite.
Performance: Keyton just knows how to make plays on the ball. He has some of the most reliable hands you can find in a 2019 wide receiver. He led the state of Georgia in receiving last season and he seems to always make a great play at every event he attends. It was no different for him Sunday.
Seriously has the best hands in the 2019 class. Dude catches everything

3* WR Christian Jackson
Recruiting wrap: Arkansas State has offered Jackson.
Performance: Jackson was showing off his quickness, his ability to stop and go and how he can redirect on Sunday. He is a true slot receiver with great quickness in space and he was tough to stay with most of the day. Many were wowed with his moves in the cat-and-mouse drills early in the day.

quote:
4* OG Jalil Irvin
Recruiting wrap: Irvin is committed to Auburn.
Performance: Irvin came into the camp with a reputation for greatness and backed it up for the most part. The Auburn commit wasn’t the most effective lineman at the event, but he was certainly among the top five. He lost a rep or two, sure, but the matchups he won, he won in dominant fashion. Irvin has a wide base and boasts a devastating punch.
Seems he does same thing at all these events. Isn't the top OL but is always listed in top 5. Just consistent which I like

quote:
5* QB Trevor Lawrence
Recruiting wrap: Lawrence is committed to Clemson
Performance: Even in a loaded quarterback field, it’s not a surprise that the nation’s No. 1 player found a way to stand out. Lawrence was near perfect despite tough conditions for quarterbacks and showed his trademark arm strength and accuracy.

Well I guess if he hasn't been charged by now he probably won't be charged.

He won't be.
What I've heard is that he basically just hooked up with a drunk chick and the chick was literally SO drunk that she didn't know what'd happened the night before. She apparently took that as rape. If that is the case, it isn't rape.
I understand why Gus had to just let him go though. Even the possibility of having a rapist on your team is a tough PR sell, even if the charges ended up not going through.

Uh, yes it is..... I mean that from a legal definition too. Did you not get the talk from the health & wellness guy who goes around campus talking to people about that?

Whether its legally rape or not I think morally it depends on if he was drunk or not as well. If he was sober its kinda rapey but if he was drunk too then its a non-story

This thread has taken a strange turn.

Not is he was just as drunk. If he wasn't, then the below does not apply. But I remember waking up in many dorm rooms at AU, wondering where I was. Sometimes, I felt like screaming "Rape" after looking at the person next to me.
Did he hold her down? Was he in a blackout? Why is it a crime for him, and a mistake for her? Did she invite him back to her room? Was any promise made of sexual encounters?
This SJW BS has to stop. I tell my daughter all the time how a guy is when drunk. Don't invite him to your room unless you plan on having sex. NO, I don't want her to be forced into anything! But there are about a dozen things that she can do to avoid getting into this situation.
Everyone jumping to a females defense after the fact kills me. I saw the supposed text messages. He likely didn't remember a damn thing, and was praying she wouldn't do what she did.
It was a dorm right? Was she screaming for help? Why aren't there "911" alert buttons in the dorms? If rape is THAT COMMON, one would think that would already have been done.
I don't care what some fairy arse social worker tells everyone to begin the semester. Unless he held her down, drugged her, or kept her against her will, it is nothing more than poor judgment on both their parts.

He didn't say "I'm sorry I raped you." He was praying this girl wasn't going to do exactly what she did.
She needs to stop drinking, and asking guys back to her dorm room. When we were at AU, that meant we were about to bump ugly parts. Or, at least get our rocks off in some fashion. Maybe he didn't reciprocate the oral?

He made a terrible decision based on the societal norms ATP. STILL, it should not cost him his future.
IF he really raped her, press charges. Otherwise, STHU.
JMO....of course.

quote:This is a dumb statement. College football isn't held to the "clear and convincing" standard used by criminal courts so just because the DA might not have enough evidence to meet the clear and convincing standard by no means should necessarily relate to college football, or the fans or a specific college team shutting the hell up.

This is a sticky situation. He never said he raped her..he apologized for what happened. Will any of us actually know what really happened? No we wont. I know iv'e been places, and got drunk and hooked up with a girl who is also drunk. I mean who hasn't? I seriously doubt he just followed her to her dorm and raped her. Now if things got heated, and she eventually told him no she didn't want to and he did it anyway that's on him. That's one of those times where even if she has been leading you on you have to walk away. Another scenario could of been she actually wanted it that night, and then doesn't remember so she cries wolf. All in all I don't think we should be crucifying the kid. We weren't there and we don't really know exactly what happened.

I guess I should clarify...I assumed he was drunk.
A girl getting hammered and hooking up with a guy and then claiming rape afterwards (again assuming both are drunk) because she doesn't remember, doesn't seem like rape. A regret, sure, but not rape.

Did he apologize in the texts specifically for raping her? I hadn't seen the texts, I don't think.
