it sounds like every single recruiting agency that has re-evaluated him this fall has come away believing he's one of the best Guard prospects in the country. Very glad he stuck with us instead of flipping to UT.

We thought we were loaded on the OL... .

It's not that bad, but losing Kozan hurt. Plus, we caught lightning in a bottle on the OL last year with G-Rob and Prosch leading the way. The future is bright on our OL. I think we get Ivey. IF it is really tied, then our having Cox should seal the deal.

No matter, he isn't coming to Auburn. I believe there are other forces at work here.

We will sign the GOAT DT classes in 2016, book it.

Well we got a CB for Broussard today so there's some good news. I'm ready for NSD 2016 I've got high hopes which is rare. Hopefully it's not a let down.

Not really. That was from Wesley Sinor from al.com who don't know jack. The only CBs worth mentioning or putting any value in are Hoke's, Keith Niebuhr's, and reporters of the 247 sites of the teams AU is battling with for the prospect.

If you're hopes are a top 4 or so class then you're likely good. If you expect to get everybody then have some padding on your butt.

Don't be a buzzkill. Sinor must have some inside info on Broussard.

I'm expecting...

Rochester
Craig
Stove
Pass
Marshall
Jackson
Broussard
2 of Joyner, Quarterman, Blue, Lyndell
Davidson
A top 10 RB
A 4* edge rusher
Davis Jr.

And whatever else we can get

It's possible but I doubt it. It's much more likely he's just guessing or riding the coattails of a 247 reporter prediction like every other public beat writer who makes picks on there.

Stove

I would nod put him in the expect column yet. I know Keith says he thinks AU is the team to beat but that sounded like somewhat of a guess right now.

Pass
I don't. The vibe I'm getting from his recruitment is not Auburn. For example he surprised the staff and AU reporters by not going to the LSU game. With him liking ND and tOSU a lot I get the impression he really wants to get away from home.

Jackson

I would not have AJ in the expect column yet. SCe will be very tough to beat and would be my pick to land him right now.

I would not expect any of them yet. 1. Blue does not have an AU offer yet and 2. The rest are committed or leans to another school right now.

Reality is a team very rarely lands every kid they lead for or appear to lead for a year and a half out from NSD. It should still be a top 4 class regardless.

I know we won't get all those guys but we need the majority of them.

If we don't get all the guys you say we probably aren't going to get we aren't getting a top 4 class.

The only guys I said I don't pick us to get as things stand now are Pass, Jackson, and 3 of the LBs Quartermaine, Joyner, & Wilson. We can have a top 4 class without those guys. We will get a highly rated QB, 2 good LBs (Moon and Blue would be my guess right now even though Blue does not have an offer yet. Also Quartermaine could come AU's way after Miami staff changes but that's way too hard to project right now), and we should get 4 good DL (We lead now with 3 very good ones.) We could get a top 4 class with those kids. Also remember current rankings are not final. They often times change quite a bit from now til NSD. For example, I expect David Marshall to move up a good bit.

If not Pass, what highly rated QBs are we the mix for? Honest question.

Gaines?

And others will emerge on AU's radar if it's not them. Gaines is still not an AU take at last report.

Thx for posting that. I've been meaning to ask how he was doing. We really could have used him.

How could we have used him? We are jam packed at DB with Therezie, Ford, Garrett, Moncreif , Holsey and Ruffi .

Not sure where he would have seen playing time this year

He very well may have beat out Ruffin, Moncrief or Ford.

Did Shea Patterson make it for the LSU game? I'm assuming no since I saw no mention of him. Didn't see anything in the 2016 thread.
No and was not scheduled to. He could not make it that weekend due to logistics and moved his AU visit for the upcoming game versus SCe. It was discussed in this thread the week of the LSU game as all things visitors for that game was no matter their class. The only time something is discussed in the 2016 thread is if I put it there. Not complaining. Just stating reality.

Possible on Ruffin but I would not bet on it. He would not have beaten out Rudy or DM. Rudy is on pace now to be an All SEC Safety. As Gene said we are very deep at safety and star right now.
