They are trying to something similar to Ole Miss last year. Ole Miss had nobody until they started winning and having an upward trending momentum as a program. They sold recruits on being part of something improving

Auburn is waiting until we are bowl eligible and competitive in games to do anything more so we have big selling points. That is why our OVs are all happening after the season for the most part
Good point.

Feb commits: Tunsil, Nkemdiche, Wilkins, Golson, Conner
Jan commits: Treadwell, Adeboyejo, K Moore
Dec commits: Brassell, Hooks

Basically, (from rivals) all the 4* and higher they got committed after the regular season was over.

I'm not a big star gazer but let's hope this pays off rolling in some defensive talent.

Clark did indeed commit to Alabama. Not that its a surprise, but now it's official.

Auburn's struggles with the recruitment of the safety position continue.

In his defense, the safety depth chart at bama may have just cleared up a little.

We won't pull what Ole Miss did because we don't have some of the built in advantages they had. Things such as RN's brother both at Ole Miss and having a truly breakout season out of nowhere, Treadwell having a good friend on the team and a pretty decent year for MS in High school prospects coupled with MSU's lethargic season.

That said, the plan is to do most of our recruiting when we can point to an upward trend and results.

Concerning DL recruiting, I would like for us to start finding more 6'4 250-270 pound DE guys and turning them into DTs like Elijah Daniel. Their athletic ability from being DEs should help with their pass rush ability from the DT position

Nkemdiche and Chris Jones both seem to be doing well making that transition as freshman at OM and MSU.

Might have been posted already but Rashaan Evans will be visiting Auburn this weekend. Whatever that means since he lives here.

Doesn't say but I believe it's unofficial. I remember reading somewhere he was supposed to OV in Jan I think.

You mean cold hard cash, because Ole miss bought that recruiting class. We can do that also.

Evans is going to milk Auburn for all the free games he can get, and then will be committing elsewhere.

Agreed, he wants out of Auburn, but won't go too far where family can't drive to a game for.
