Is he actually an insider? Always got the impression he just brought paid site info over as his own but could be wrong.

But knowing AU bball luck it turns out true

My meltdown would be indescribable. With the players coming in, it would seem likely that he wouldn't consider leaving.

The only thing more pathetic than our basketball program after Barbee was fired is the fact JJ let it slip that low.

I don't care that we won an NC and played for another. The fact is several other programs have slipped considerably. frick JJ. It terrifies me to imagine what it'd take to get him fired...why the hell is his job so secure?????

Don't know, Tigerpawl. I'm skeptical myself but I'm passing it along. I've seen E vouch for him FWIW.

That would be the most Auburn shite ever if we lose Pearl now.

Memphis has always scared me when it comes to Pearl because there have seemingly been rumors they're ready to get rid of Pastner ever since we hired Pearl. And if Memphis does finally can Pastner, I think Pearl would take that job in a heartbeat.

Other than that, I'm not worried about him leaving. I don't think it's fair to starting judging Pearl's time here until Year 4, but I do want to see some significant improvement next year to be encouraged with the talent he's going to have to work with.

I don't know if Memphis can afford both buyouts this year.

I say BS. Unless he turns out to be right this person should be banned from all things AU forever.

If we lose Bruce, I am completely on board with promoting Chuck Person and hiring Charles Barkley to take his spot.

If we are going to lose, I want to lose in style.

I'm beginning to question Chuck's coaching ability. He's supposed to be our defensive coordinator, and our D is just terrible.

We hire a coordinator that runs the 3-4

I'm in the same boat. Around the turn of the new year, I began to wonder if Tony Jones' absense is more detrimental than we thought. I'm not really sure what his coaching role was, but his absense is the one difference.

Chuck is supposed to be our D coordinator and shooting coach...neither of which were notable this season.

Yes. If Pearl is quitting it is because of JJ.

Good God how are you supposed to consistently play good defense when you have 7 guys in your rotation and no true center with guys having to play out of position?

You can polish a turd but in the end it's still a turd.

I think his point is that he wasn't expecting our defense to be stellar but instead to be better than what we put on the floor.
