i've put my finger on what i don't like about BB..

I really don't like him personally

More than anything, I don't like the culture that he's created.

petrino was an offensive coach. yet after his 2nd hear, we gave up 65 to a cam netwon lead auburn team

The 2nd highest point total we gave up was 41 to LSU 5 days after Garrett Uekman died

Even when bama beat us, they never scored 40 points.

Coach B has given up 52 to alabama
49 to alabama
51 to miss state
52 to ole miss
45 to a and m

all of those but the first one, being in the last 12 months.

meaning, the more the petrino gets coached out the team, the shittier the defense seems to get.

here is another interesting fact. In the past 12 months, we have played all of the SEC West teams, and held exactly one of them, LSU, under 40 points lol. jesus.

What irks me about BB is the culture he's created. He's soft, weak minded, a loud mouth who rarley if ever backs up what he's saying and doesn't hold himself accountable for shite. "fricking tearing up in a press conference becasue you realize the players you recruited, coached can't can't do the job.

That, more than anyting is what i missed about petrino. not his play calling or his offense, but the accountability, and that's where saban gets little to no credit. You're going to come here, you're going to work your fricking arse off and you're going to do what i tell you to do, or NEXT.

D'Anthony Curtis cost us the kentucky game in 2008, and promptly never saw the field again in any significant way the rest of his 3 years here. NEXT. no crying in the press conference. you had a job, you didn't do it, frick you lol, bye. Because in reality, that's how the real world works. \

he's also quite possibly the laziest recruiter i've ever seen in my life time. I know he CAN recruit which is the sad part. in 3 weeks he got us alex collins, denver kirkland, dan skipper, Martell Spaight, D.J Dean, Korliss Marshall.. shite look at his wife lol. The man can recruit his arse off when he's motivated to do so. he has seen the o line problem de3veloping. he had to know there was a chance kirkland was going pro after last year. he has seen our lack of depth and speed at LB and done nothing about it. he looks at lidell in practice everyday, yet does nothing about it. we still have a 2 deep on the defensive line that consists of a walk on.. though i won't shite on rasner he made CAm Robinson have a false start and he was pushing cam's shite in all game. this year he's just thrown in the card and said frick it. if you aren't in state he's not even gonna try.

it's gonna be the same shite next year. No Defensive Ends. Why? Because Bert didn't recruit any true DT's and bulked all of them up, including a 5 star Defensive End top 10 recruit to Defensive Tackle to move inside. So next year our o line will be solid and i don't see a situtation where enos trots out a shitty WR core but our defensive ends and secondary will be shite. Bert is gonna recruit just enough to field a team and not much else.

lol then the one true defensive tackle he does sign, a rivals 250 guy, is moved to the OFFENSIVE LINE to compensate for your lack of recruiting on the offensive line. this is the story of bert. . so now you got a shite Defensive interior and a shite offensive line.

Bert has created a culture that it's okay to lose, to get embarrassed but dammit as long asy ou try and are a good person and come to lift weights with us outside in the off season at the satidum at night, than by gosh it's all okay. frick that. frick him.

I'm not out on Bielema (I had Bama pegged as a loss both in the preseason and last week anyway), but there are a few things I'm starting to be really concerned about.

I'll throw out everything about the first year, since the program and the roster were in the toilet when he was hired, and because you can never accurately judge a head coach by his first year record. Saban and Nutt are prime examples of this.

If you count 2014 as our first real season, our run game, offensive line, defensive line, overall defense, and recruiting have gotten worse.

Inversely, QB play, offensive playcalling, and the passing game have improved.

Special teams still sucks and is a push. Ditto for our secondary.

I'm starting to wonder if bret over compensated for the terrible passing game of 13-14 and now we are here being a bobby petrino lite team.

I think that is pretty much how most of us view it.

I actually like Bielema personally, but there are aspects of his coaching that I think work better in the upper Midwest then they do down here in the SEC.

You can't play off and wait for a team to self destruct in the SEC because most teams won't. A miracle finish to the season, while fun, isn't guaranteed and sooner or later you will try to cash a check that you can't cover.

Yes, a thousand times yes, to recruiting kids who aren't thugs and a commitment to academics. That having been said don't just settle for a good kid. Get a good kid that can play in the SEC.

I thought the same about Gragg but he just didn't grow any past 10th grade. He's soft as baby shite too.

Word is he's transformed his body and worked the baby fat off and whatever but he's still hanging around 250.

Gragg at 310 lbs probably has the makings of a great OL, but he's not tackle size.

We've got some instate talent we can develop, what we sorely lack is people that have discretionary income to be able to put hours and hours every week into their children's extra-curricular activities.

It's going to take a 20 year effort to change the talent level in this state, it begins with commitment to healthy living within the nuclear family, a lifestyle that includes weight lifting and outdoor activities that aren't sitting in a tree stand or walking around the woods with a bunch of lesbians.

Most of the school kids still live in little towns that have access to gyms or quality coaches that stay at schools for decades and build athletic programs from the elementary schools up through the high schools.

however, everything I just typed is hypocritical because I don't support my nephew playing sports he's not in love with. They won't be his future I'd rather him spend his time and energy getting really good at other things he enjoys more and is interested in having a career in.

If parents want their kids to be D-1 athletes then it's all about putting the work in on and off the field.

Agreed, and I've said for years that we have a legitimate problem on our hands with regard to the quality of high school ball being played in this state. Some of it is due to our demography. A lot of it is due to the style of offense and newfound predilection for pass-happy spread systems.

When I played high school ball 15 years ago in the old AAAA classification, we ran the ball nearly every play at my school, and our system was the same from 7th grade up through varsity. Ditto for schools like Little Rock Central and Barton. It didn't bode well for the local development of quarterbacks or defensive backs, but it facilitated the continued production of really solid players on the lines. Malzahn helped to usher in an era of the air raid spread and HUNH, and a lot of high school coaches, particularly the younger ones, adopted it as a way to exploit high school secondaries.

Just look at our offensive line last year -- a Coloradan (Skipper), a Floridian (Kirkland), a Minnesotan (Ragnow), and a Californian (Tretola) alongside Mitch Smothers.

It seems we're only nationally relevant when we have high level in-state talent, especially offensive talent. Whether Matt Jones, D-Mac, or the Warren kids w/ Mallett or Wilson, then we peak. Recently anyway.

It comes down to shitty recruiting. End of story.

And not hiring guys with any sort of connection to SEC talent.

Round peg in a square hole. The story of Arkansas Football.

We're just forever doomed. I'm only 28 and I've come to accept this fact.

Only Arkansas, after dealing with Nutt and then the crash would manage to have the worst O-line in the SEC in year 4 with the coach who is supposed to have a top shelf Oline year in and year out.

What can go wrong, will go wrong. Always. I see 2 more wins this year and Austin Allen being dead.

Bert's batting average with assistants is pretty up and down.

Guys like Enos, Lunney, Michael Smith and arguably Thomas and Singleton were good finds and diamond in the rough types.

On the other hand, guys like Shannon and Pittman were hailed as ace recruiters but ended up leaving us with our arses hanging in the wind via poor talent evaluation and nonexistent player development.

Also, guys like Robb Smith, Segrest and Anderson were "WTF?" type hires. I've been out on Segrest for a while, my patience with Smith is just about out, and I'm not exceptionally pleased with Anderson though I'll give him some time considering he inherited a tire fire on the OL.

I'm 41, so was able to see much success while we were in the old SWC. We were pretty much guaranteed 10 wins per season and were really only challenged by Texas and TAMU each year.

Our last two seasons in the SWC and practically every season in the SEC has been a struggle. Our only success in the SEC was one year with Danny Ford, a couple of seasons with dale nutt, and Petrino.

I truly thought our time had come with Petrino. He would have kept us elite. I whole heartedly believe that. Then came the motorcyle ride. When that happened and he was fired, I truly lost all hope and just accepted the fact that we are snake bit as a program.

With all of that said, a win against Ole Miss this weekend will do wonders for morale. We sure as hell need it.

Badly. But everything in my gut says loss.

Not melting, just know how typical it would be for us.

Easy to rationalize it that way now.

He always got a ton out of players, regardless of their ratings.
