He made some big shots for us but he was just never consistent enough. You could tell he had "it" but he made too many dumb plays to be able to put it all together.
I do think we tried to force the offense to run through him too much before Beard came along though

I think we are going to be bad because our game plan until now has been to wear teams down with depth. After losing most of our best players it's going to be really hard to do that.
Most teams play 2-3 guys off the bench. We're used to playing 2 5-man rotations and then a couple off the bench if we have foul trouble.
That's why I'm expecting us to not win very many games. I'm excited to watch the new guys but I'm not expecting a good season team-wise.

Every year the story line has been "lost so and so and x amount of production no where to go but backwards from here".
Every year he's proved the nay sayers wrong.
The roster isn't terrible by any stretch, we've had much less talent on the roster during Heath's first years, Pel's years, and Mike's first years due to what Pel left behind.

Oh now Powell is leaving early, we'll be lucky to win 10 games.

I don't know how 'terrible' we'll be, heck, don't know much about many of the players at all.
But, I doubt you get better by losing a Portis and Qualls.

If madden wouldn't be the best on the team this year who would be? And where would he rank on this team then? Be sure to name the people Better than KY madden

Losing Powell and Young isn't the same as losing Portis and Qualls.
I mean we're going to be relying on Keaton Miles to play significant minutes this year. JaCorey Williams was set to start before he got kicked off. I'll still watch every game I just don't know how some people expect us to be that good
