You can, but we all know this class will never amount to anything because 247/rivals/scout/espn said it was only around 30th best in the country.

Close down the program, move up hockey to D1 status.

We're spending more than we've ever spent huh? Ya don't say.

You would think a smart guy like SunHog would understand inflation.

The 2014 season results have already been decided, its now just a matter of waiting out the 12 fall scrimmages.

Not until they win a NC, at least.

Same with basketball, don't build the PF until another NC.

Baseball? Build that shite, its fricking snowing.

We have to wait until NCAA 2014 come out to run the simulations, then we can watch the games for the entertainment value.

meh, I think the rankings matter

That doesn't mean our class will play worse than a higher ranked class though. Coaching is just as important.

I just hope we win an SEC game next year. two years of that shite is unacceptable. Bielema will get plenty of time but if he doesn't win an SEC game in year 2 it'll be cut short in some twitter shite talking fiasco between him and the fanbase that causes a divide. Imagine if nutt had twitter how bad shite would have gotten.

I'm not overly optomistic but hell who knows by next year i'm sure i'll be all excited about how we really developed this offseason so I guess I might as well jump on the bandwagon now.

I'm beginning to think Arkansas is just cursed.

(probably only a little melt left from signing day after this)

I was hoping we could avoid all of your potential nightmare scenario with a top 25 recruiting class to fall back on in defense if needed. We don't even have that and went 0-8 last year with the most turmoil in our program in over 100 years.

I'm so glad Nutt didn't have Twitter as it would've been beyond ugly and I also think Coach B's twitter issue could easily come back to bite him for off colored comments. I see more potential for harm than good since he isn't using a PR firm on twitter.

I said I would give Coach B three years and I will do that. However, he told us it was about keeping assistants that was his biggest roadblock. We gave him more money to stabilize this issue while he even moved to a much more fertile recruiting ground than Wisconsin. He underestimated the SEC last year and I still see the defense getting neglected. How could it not? We hire a DC after NCD and give Shannon a bump in title to sooth the fan base.

We ran a big add campaign for Texas kids and came away emptied handed in my opinion.

We've all seen us go to Atlanta three times and a BCS bowl. We also all knew what it would take to get back there and win one of them. Defense, recruiting and good assistance.

I hold this coaching staff to a higher standard than Nutt or Petrino. On paper he has better staff, more money and a new $41M show facility. Outside of the top 25 each year is not what I think is progress.

I was piled on extremely hard by this board for Petrino's awful classes yet I was spot on. I don't want to be right about Coach B. I do not like the first two year pattern. DC hire, assistant changes, Nutt recruiting style all with more advantages than Petrino and Nutt.

Who was the last SEC team to win the SEC without a top 15 recruiting class?

The potential outliers haven't gotten it done.

If it was Nutt recruiting style, he would have signed 3 RBs, 2 WRs, midget LBs, and would have walk on kickers.

Just stop with that nonsense...

Amount to what, Sugar Bowl or SEC Championship? I'll take the odds on this with history on my side.

wut? The bump for Shannon was all about money, no?

Petrino also had a shite ton of attrition which hurt us more than anything. Bielema won't have that

Also, calling it Nutt recruiting style is pretty fricking stupid. We're still getting a higher quality player than we did with him... just look at the offers this class had. In past years we'd be "stealing" guys from places like ULL, Tulane, etc. Maybe the rankings don't show it but that's a fact

*Hawgeye's post about our current two classes.*

Looking at those numbers and tell me we aren't offensive heavy with mediocre potential on defense.

Nutt was #1 in rushing for multiple years in the SEC while Coach B wants the same style with a better passing game as he does acknowledge better QB's.

Its not "nutt recruiting".

Another area it differs is 4* who never would see campus would be signed to pad the rankings.

Actual contributors on the field on the defense would be NR and 2* recruits.

He might be fine with most fanbases but if the departure isn't a promotion to NFL headcoach after a very successful career here It'll be uglier than nutt. The wisconsin fans were quite sour about how he left them high and dry. They quite frankly don't have shite on us when it comes to vitriol and hatred for losing coaches.

We need defensive talent. We need elite talent. That's all there is to it. We failed. Imagine if the defense got an Alex Collins quality player.

The same 6 as always.

Floridas #1 class in 2010 sure looked good last year.

I'll throw in Georgia's perennial top 10 classes and Tenn's top 15 classes and all their recent SEC titles just for fun.

Not much and that is true. A couple bone headed coaching calls is also true.

One 4* in two classes.. Ugly.

I do look at the offer lists and we are slightly trending up over Petrino and Nutt recruiting.

Massive advertisements for Texas kids while Coach B talked about a big Texas push all season. I don't see any results of that.
