Is K. Hatfield still alive??? ... Also, Lou isn't busy right now, & Idgaf who hates him. I REMEMBER when he was at Arkansas, & I REMEMBER the '78 Orange Bowl - We didn't suck. Just get a translator/interpreter for the guys.

My top 2 are doug marone and chad morris.

Marone went 2 seasons out of 4 with 8 wins at syracuse. 5 wins, 8 wins, 5 wins, 8 wins.

It depends on how committed our big money donors are to winning.

Auburn fired Chizik less than 2 years removed from a BCS title because they www their program sliding off a cliff and felt they deserved better. Whether or not they're getting it with Gus is a different story, but they sacked up and made a change.

Course its a melt thread, none of us think that Bert gets shown the door right away. Well not unless he shows up sloshed out of his mind for the next game and makes a drunken pass at Kevin Sumlin with the line "You've got a purty mouth on you."

chizik's circumstance is different than ours

there are extenuating circumstances that got bert and the football team to where they are now that when taken into consideration, means Bert isn't getting fired. Could another coach have done better? perhaps, but we'll never know.

At this point, I don't care about extenuating circumstances. I can't defend the crappy play; slow, fat team; Bert's big mouth; you name it.

IN 25 years, we have seen our program slide from being a top 10-15 program, to being a laughing stock. The list of regional foes who have now surpassed us after years of being inferior includes: TTech, Baylor, TCU, TAMU, Okie St, Ole Miss, Mizzou, and possibly Miss St.

We left the SWC and lost Texas recruiting. Now, we have record numbers of Texas kids attending U of A, so we might just have a chance to get back into Texas and pick up some talent. But we run a dinosaur offense that is no longer being used in either Texas or Arkansas for that matter. And our coach comes in and acts like an arse.

Bert is a good coach in the wrong conference. Look at Chris Ash at OhioSt. Sometimes the fit is right; sometimes it is wrong.

We made a horrible choice with MA and BB. Basketball and FB are passing us by. I remember the days when we were feared and hated. I loved that.

I believe those days are probably gone forever.

Maybe he'll get caught with a volleyball player in a bumper boat accident.

No way his fat arse could ride a motorcycle.

Agreed.

Bert is the poster boy for how the SEC is in a different stratosphere than the Big Ten. Ash couldn't stop a cold here and he goes back to the Big Ten and immediately proceeds to win a NC.

Bert is essentially the inverse of Rich Rod at Michigan. Good coach and good resume, but a horrible fit schematically for his school and conference and unwilling to adapt, and in over his head.

Even Saban has adapted to a more spread style of offense. They still maintain a bruising RB, but they spread the field and run a no huddle offense quite a bit.

How about we hire Sonny Dykes and Tony Franklin from Cal

For Dykes, looks like 3 years is all be needs to get something built. From Texas as well

Louisiana Tech
2010 - 5-7
2011 - 8-5
2012 - 9-3
Cal
2013 - 1-11
2014 - 5-7
2015 - 3-0

As for Franklin, the guy has national ties with high school coaches through his consulting firm. He has played and coached in southern states his entire life until 2012. May be an offensive genius IMO
