Mike has 1 more year, then he's a goner.
We might have to get down to 3,000 fans a game but the pressure on Jeff Long will be unbearable.

I just don't see a whole lot of improvement. We have no momentum coming off our first NCAAT bid in forever
Our recruiting sucks and has since day one. We didn't recruit dusty hannahs, just think where we would be without his 24 points vs UGA. Couldn't land monk or any other big time player, and I don't blame them for staying away from here
We always take a shite in new and creative ways on the road as well. Road woes are back, probably to stay

We won 27 games.
I after watching games for over 40 years. I can tell the fan base DGAF, it's a ghost town atmosphere in BWA.
Really, I doubt there will be 10k at the aTm game.
I hope Mike can turn the program around, but from my seat in BWA he needs to make some major changes.
Mike won't last 10 years like Nutt did.

The class we are hanging our hats on is currently ranked 25th nationally, behind several other conference teams. Also behind some other teams we have played in OOC play a bit recently that are border states. I think it fair to say Mike's recruiting doesn't get the blood pumping.

Everyone always cries "derp derp derp fire Mike Anderson" and they have zero suggestion on who exactly would be better that we could actually land.
That is because he's absolutely the best we can land at this point.
We'll be in the NCAA next year and the next, chill the F out. We're in 500x better shape than we've been in for 20 years. That's two decades.

All the while everyone sucks Bielema off for his shitty arse SEC record and losing to Toledo. Bielema still hasn't beaten Bama and Mike is 2-3 against UK, beat #2 Florida and every other team in the conference. and finished 2nd in the conference. Oh and the SECT championship.
Bret hasn't sniffed anything close to that, going 0fer against Bama, A&M and Miss State. Also his recruiting has been exactly the same as the last 3 coaches here.

He goes to the NCAAT all most for sure the next two years, thats year 6 and 7. You don't think he makes it beyond that?

VanHorn hasn't had the program competing for championships either, usually his team is one of the first heading home from Birmingham.
Basketball has been third in support from the University for a while now behind Football and Baseball.
Arkansas puts as much effort as anyone in the country into the baseball program, yet the expectation levels are far below the amount of resources spent.
Meanwhile the basketball program has had Auburn level commitment while demanding Kentucky level results...

Ok we go to the tourney next year. Thata great. Will we ever get back to consistently making the tourney though? Right now it seems like we seldom make it under anderson.

He might make the elite 8 then the next year we'd be NIT bound at best. It's a vicious cycle unless he comes up with a better way to manage his roster.
