Yeah don’t get me wrong I really like it here but Bentonville’s self-proclaimed “mountain biking capital of the world” stuff is cringe. They just try too hard. It’s a cool place without them beating you over the head with it.

All that promoting of best college towns to live does is invite more people who don’t have the same views as you and want to change the area, usually for the worst.

Half the tags I see now in Fayetteville are from out of state people. Californians with Bernie stickers. Saw a bunch of Texas/Beto, even saw New York with an AOC sticker. Lots of ACAB graffiti.

Gentrification is ok here I guess since it’s a majority white population? All the farms around me are now being sold off by the kids and turned into subdivisions. Where I went to school used to have 1 route for my road, and now it has 5ish.

Yeah, that trash does not belong here.

N. Central Ark is a better place to move if you want what once made NWA great. Once the cultural locusts move in it becomes a shithole. Wealth doesn't make a place better. Usually makes it worse.

That's exactly what I did and don't regret it for a second.

My folks and I moved to NWA 31 years ago. This place isn't even remotely similar to what it used to be. I don't mean that in a good way either.

Most of me and the wife's family is from south AR, and Central AR. We also own land and lease (deer lease) in south central AR. So, I'm familiar with and enjoy being around real Arkansas people. This hippy pinko midwestern shite that NWA has become, quite frankly, is repulsive.

Around a year or so ago, we started having serious discussions about getting the hell out of here. I hated being far away from our land in south AR, I've been over NWA for a long time now, the real estate market is ape shite crazy up here now (thanks California and yankee implants), and the kids are young. So, now was the time to shite or get off the pot.

Fortunately, the yanks and California dip shits have driven everything high as a giraffe's arse, so the ROI on our house and land in NWA will be quite substantial.

It amazes me how the long term NWA people can look at what this place has become and think of it as a positive.

Gentrification hasn't hit the area yet but it will. It is a problem regardless of racial identity.

I think Arksulli got transitioned here this way. Very dark times indeed. If we got rid of all of the coffee shops in Fayetteville that may cause them to move back….

Plus, NWA is offering people from lib cities money to move there.

I moved to Eastern Arkansas because my father passed away and my mother is an invalid. Someone had to care for her. That is my story.

God let's hope not

Aside from that sentiment, that is a lot of ignorant shite in this thread. There are lots of towns and places to live in NWA, I'd hate to judge it from A Street in Bentonville or the folks walking out of Top Golf, because that is not really a big part of the region

Always talk about buy local and keep Fayetteville funky, but last I saw 2 or 3 local coffee shops went under before Covid as soon as all the Starbucks came in.

It’s similar to what Tulsa and other cities have done, trying to attract STEM talent. They did have a ton of people apply which isn’t really surprising.

They have a complete inferiority complex toward Fayetteville

Bentonville left Fayetteville in the dust years ago. The only thing our leadership does is allow historic buildings to be torn down to make room for $700k townhomes. And they raise taxes any chance they can get while pretending to care about poor people as they drive them out of town.

NWA had a nice little 20 year run from about 1990-2010, since then it's been all downhill.

They'll move from CA to get out of that cess pool and then vote for the same libtard frick heads that made things so incredibly dysfunctional for them in CA.

actually nope

Californians have moved here in droves in the past year, and 85 percent of them are conservatives getting the frick aways from the smell of Nancy Pelosi's taint

I’m going to have the opportunity to transfer with work to a number of different locations in 1-2 years. NWA is home, but 1b on my list. Nashville is 1a.

I haven’t been to Austin in years, but I’ve heard it’s lost much of the authenticity that made it such a destination. Gentrification on steroids.

Nashville proper has its fake arse Little San Francisco demographics here and there. For show. They are powerless at this point. Just your basic screaming attention whore girl with green hair

the surrounding counties are conservative and swallow up that bullshite

so Nashville is awesome
