I think the Texas guy Bobby Burton does the hiring over on 247 and maybe Otis had a previous relationship with him from Rivals?

That's good. That kid is a playmaker.

We seem to be in really good shape with DT Javier Edwards. I certainly wouldn't mind adding a 350lb NT

If he can shore up the middle against teams like lsu, auburn, and Bama who love to pound the rock I'm all for it, but the biggest thing we need right now is speed. We've lacked speed on the defensive side of the ball for years, if we could fix that and our coaches could do their job and teach the fundamentals then we'd have a decent defense.

I think our defensive backs were disciplined for the most part this season. The only things we were missing was speed and clean tackling

...and a pass rush that didn't leave them on an island for 30 seconds.

Segrest is probably salivating at the chance to try him out at defensive end.

With the way offenses play now I've wondered if it wouldn't help a lot to switch to a 3-4 defense. But of course you need a great nose tackle that can eat up the middle. And you actually need multiple good LBs and we've been short at that position anyway.

We could always try out a 4-2-5 base but then Again we don't have many all American safetys walking through the door either.

Anyone cringe like I did when you saw Garrett Bolles on the USA Today All-American list?

Could have used him this year.

Pretty sure he went on a Mormon mission and that's why he's so old. He invited Pittman to his wedding before he left.

Don't really want to go back and read and haven't been following but how did we lose out on the #1 kid from FHS?

This is how coaches seats really start to get hot.

Our recruiting blows, not even excited about this LB, he'll just be another bust like all the rest and we'll have a spirit trophy winner in there for 4 years again.
