I find it hard to believe that they're already moving him to LB... is he even on campus yet? I think they're just bullshitting on the radio.

They don't even have decent info on our program and i'm supposedly to believe they can provide insight on LSU.

I did see a comment from Les Miles online somewhere that said basically that 'he's so big and fast that we have to get him on the field somewhere.'

Well, I doubt it will be at RB right away.

LSU folks say that when he committed he commented that he would be open to playing either RB or LB and that he just wants to be on the field. Based off that, I would say that the Arkansas radio station doesn't have good info.

This is a fair point.

I actually swung by the LSU 247 board earlier to see if they were saying anything about it and sure enough there was a thread making fun of Hogville posters for running with it. According to that thread, the comment was originally made by someone calling in and then the hosts ran with it like it was a fact. Seems about right for Arkansas journalists.

Well I guess considering that the hosts of said show usually can't pronounce the names of current players, considering the source is a good idea.

Plus even if he did for some reason leave LSU, didn't Bert say one time that if you turn us down that's it, there will be no offer for you in the future a la Tenpenny.

Think that was just for in-state players

NO WAY in Hell LSU would release him to Arkansas anyway.

De'Jon Harris to play QB in goal line and redzone situations according to CBB. CBB thinks he's 'a beast' in those situations. Info per RD's column today...

Linebacker De'jon Harris, an Arkansas signee, was a jack-of-all-trades for Marrero (La.) John Ehret High School and helped his team to the Class 5A championship game for the first time in 30 years.

Harris, 6-1, 230, 4.70 seconds in the 40-yard dash, signed with the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Arizona State, Oregon, Memphis, Southern Miss, Tulane and others.

He rushed for 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns and had 11 catches for 254 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also passed for 400 yards and 6 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 80 tackles and 7 sacks.

Coach Bret Bielema said he may take advantage of Harris' offensive talents.

"His No. 1 quarterback gets knocked out, and they make a run all the way to the state championship with him at quarterback," Bielema said. "I keep telling him he's going to be my short-yardage, goal line, red-zone quarterback because he's a beast at that position in those situations."

CBB said something similar in his post signing day press conference. said he thought it might be a good idea to let Harris play QB in goal line situation since he was a beast there.

not sure if CBB has since said for sure he would or RD is just now reporting what CBB said in that press conference.

I can't imagine it's a final decision considering that they've never even tried it in a practice yet.

I'm fairly certain he was just joking when he said it.

Whether he's joking or not, I think it's something at least worth looking at. It's not like he has zero experience at QB. He'd likely be hard to bring down as a runner and should be able to get a tough yard or two.
