They try to change Bama's uni for every GOTC and bowl game they play in! Bama concedes one stitch and they are labeled "Pro combat". Bama calls the shots because they have tradtion that they stick by. Why am I surprised our fanbase doesn't understand what that means?? smh...

I'm done. Our fanbase is fricking retarded. Back to the MNF thread.

How hands on do you think a head coach is in a jersey design process? As stated previously, all we use is Nike templates anyway. Shouldn't take any longer to flip through than a Sears catalog

Oh so you don't think we can be contractually obligated into wearing other shite we don't necessarily approve??

It is currently happening

Aren't you still in school?

My advice take more classes, you are not prepared for the real world...

That was the design Petrino wanted and we got it.

Let's say Petrino coached at any of those schools you claim Nike is so nice to that they keep their uni's the same. Would Petrino get to overhaul USC's, Bama's, Penn State's uni's? No, because he doesn't have that power. The difference between us and those schools is that we are a push over school. We don't stick by any traditions and this mentality has leeched into our fanbase or we would have never worn those anthracite abominations.

That's what I thought, so we'll like have the same white/red uniforms we've had for years now, and then have an alt Elite grey uniform we'll wear on every so often.

They were black a couple years ago, Kentucky wore them some, Florida wore the blacks a lot.

Grey is the new black, I guess.

Here is a gist of Nike's contract with us

We do what they say

We beg for mercy

If you think there is any give and take, you are rather ignorant of how Nike became what they are today. Hint: its not spending time caring about the customer

That's comforting and all but if we had any tradition at all our new coach's mentality wouldn't change our uniforms. Coca Cola didn't roll out a different logo with each president..

Coaches are extremely involved in the design process.

The "template" is just the jersey cut that the design will be on. They have different price levels depending on what you want. The Chain Maille Mesh template is the newest template from Nike that only a handful of teams right now. Pro Comabat wasn't actually some big special thing but rather the newest jersey template that Nike rolled out. They had a few teams showcase it which then led to other teams at the college and high school level buying their jerseys in that template.

SC has changed their unis over the years.

Bama would require approval from several of the GOB's.

Penn State made a huge change to theirs after JoePa retired.

Freeze has fricked with Ole Miss' this year.

However, when you have had a school who has used the same uniform continuously as Bama has you do nto have the new coach wanting to make changes such as Crean at Indiana.

They wore their Purple tops just a few games ago which "breaks tradition".

Les had LSU added to the front, which "breaks tradition".

Their pro combat jerseys used real gold color like ND's which "breaks tradition".

However, none of this is on topic with Arkansas becoming a Nike Elite Basketball school.

One game? Probably so. I'd love to just have uniform changes for only one game. Instead we play guess the team that comes out of the tunnel every year because we never look the same.

UF still wore the blacks last year, I believe the black is a permanent for UF.

UF has about 7 basketball jerseys, orange tops blue tops black, grey, white.

And then a few combinations of the above with different colored shorts.

Right, and client concerns are "very important" to architects, lawyers are "looking for justice" and customer complaints "are taken very seriously"

It should be noted that none of those were positive changes

You're obviously going to believe what you want even if you're wrong.

Next they're gonna say "Well, now that I think about it Purple and Mustard looked good on that hog in Maumelle. Why not on the players too!?!?"

Some fans have stated that since non-school colors look good on our baseball uniforms they should come back.

It must be comforting falling hook line and sinker for Nike's PR speeches about "coaches having input" and "custom solutions for each school". I'm so glad a billion dollar company has a tiny school in Arkansas's back no matter what! Thanks so much Nike! Your comforting hugs make me feel all warm inside

Some of us must remain a little more vigilant, however

Nike is an empire. If anyone thinks they are looking out for UA they are kidding themselves. They are pushing their identity onto us. That's how they got to where they are

Have you seen what Under Armor has done to Auburn's unis?

Adidas to Michigan and ND?

Nothing the school and coaches didn't want/approve of being done, that is what they have done.
