Drew DeArmond is posting on Twitter that Tim Williams was arrested for carrying a gun without a permit....I just don't understand how football players stay in trouble all the time...

He doesn't need one unless he's in a dangerous place (we don't know where he was). But it's ridiculous. Sick of our players getting arrested all the time. I know it's not anything too bad but it's still annoying when a star player on the #1 team in the country gets arrested for being careless.

ETA: One doesn't have to be engaging in nefarious activity to own a gun. If this would have been Bradley Bozeman no one would be blinking an eye at this news.

Why does any citizen need a gun? My God. Yea, Tim should've had a permit if he's going to carry, but do you know how many people on this board alone carry a gun? What exactly is the insinuation that we're supposed to be outraged he owns a gun?
Hopefully this is false, I couldn't find anything in arrest reports. If he's charged with carrying without a permit only (assuming it's true) then I'd say that's a good thing, at least it isn't stolen.

I'll go Auburn. They're usually on top of any Alabama player getting arrest. Of course when we do the same thing, it's about how we're the obsessed fan base.

No doubt. But it seems anytime this happens it's off campus. If it's true then yeah, these guys are stupid for not getting a permit if you're gonna tote one.

bruh, no one is outraged he owns a gun. That said, it's like $25 a year to have a permit. How hard is that to get? The outrage is that he didn't take the time to get the permit.
