Why the hell would I want to defend a guy just because he writes about Alabama?

That's absurd and it's a lame copout. I don't give a crap about that.

All I see is someone having an opinion and being called sexist because she is a woman. I wouldn't give a crap if the guy covered Auburn, it's bullshite and has nothing to do with football teams.

Haven't clicked your link yet....but wtf is this shite?

Please tell me this has nothing to do with Dinich.

I literally hate her with all my heart. She's a massive count who does literally nothing for college football.

ETA: I'm not sticking up for Cecil Hurt. He could be 100% in the wrong, idk. Just wanted to get my opinion of HD out there. She's probably my least favorite person on earth. I'm being dead serious.

I enjoy shitting on Cowherd just as much as the next guy. But he and her aren't even remotely close to being comparable. He has more talent in his pinky finger than she has in her whole body.

Has this ever been brought up? By anybody on any board?

I swear on everything I love my opinion of her has ZERO to do with her hatred of Alabama.

But that bitch HATES Alabama. It's not even an annoyed hate, like Galloway. You can tell it burns her to the core to have to mention something positive about Alabama. Thank goodness, because she never does it Her hatred of Alabama is seriously weird and scary.

In my head, since she has made appearances on playoff coverage, I had these same thoughts. It never got to a point where she straight up made a comment regarding what we both suspected, until now. That brought clarity to what everyone thought all along. Skip Bayless has an endless hate as well. Cowherd doesn't love Bama but respects us. The media loves diversity and new. Alabama's winning is just old to people who see the sport more as entertainment, more than school/state pride like we do.

How in the absolute shite did this bitch become the committee expert? I really need to know. Like you said, she says the most obvious shite. Hell she doesn't even say anything. She asks more questions than she gives insight.

WHAT IS HER JOB?!

She doesn't do anything Just sits up there with her evil grin and massive fricking head and says stupid shite.
I realize I was so mean that it devalues my opinion of her, but I made this post the other day. And it's EXACTLY why Cecil wrote "I can walk into a bar anywhere in the country and find someone more qualified than her."

It's because she literally does nothing..

"Who did Alabama actually beat?"

BITCH. Explain yourself. You have all goddamn day to research shite. I could make a better case for Alabama not playing anybody than she could. She literally doesn't do anything other than sit there and come up with stupid storylines and shite that everyone on earth has already thought of.

Heather, you have stat nerds at your disposal. Come up with an argument of why and how Alabama hasn't played anybody. ITS YOUR JOB.

But instead, she got up there and cried that every other team in the world gets picked apart while Alabama doesn't. And its because it fricking kills her that Alabama is at the top.

Oh and Alabama hasn't fricking lost yet, Heather. It's why nobody is picking apart their wins. God she's an idiot.

Be an arse. Be sarcastic. Be a troll. Be serious. Be whatever you want.

But don't be a county troll and then act serious as hell and then claim you've been done wrong when someone calls your arse out.

She's what's wrong with TV nowadays.

No idea who wrote that but it's dead arse on...and pretty much exactly what I said about her.

Well, judging by those tweets she certainly doesn't seem qualified to be any kind of expert on CFB.

LSU, FSU, and OU??? Okay, Heather.

And crying about polls have the defending champ as the number one team preseason? What kind of CFB "analyst" thinks that is something unusual?

OMG THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!!! I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN THAT WAS SUCH AN ANOMALY UNLESS THE SUPER SMART AND SUPER QUALIFIED HEATHER DINNICH UNCOVERED THAT INFORMATION!!!!

Bitch, that happens all the fricking time.

#invincible that.

She's a complete moron, just like 99% of other sports talking heads, and idiots are white knighting for her because she's a woman.

End of story.

It's not just about opinions on what team "looks" good and who doesn't. There are so many factors that go into why a team is elite, good, or bad. I would be willing to bet my house that heather Dinich could not tell me what base defense Alabama runs or what offense we run. I would also go a step further and argue she couldn't name more than 10 starters out of the 22. I just do not think she knows the game at all. You never hear her name specifics, of any team for that matter. I could at least get up there without google in front of me and tell you what schemes and players that each major team runs and has. I want someone who isn't a main stream phag to get up there and pressure her with reasons as to why she has the opinions she has. There's more than just "that team played good against another team that I think is good"

It's the eye candy hookers that diminish the contributions of reporters/commentators like Holly Rowe and Beth Mowans. That's not to say that some of the "eye candy" reporter/commentators don't have knowledge of the game.

It just makes the networks and producers appear shallow when they throw some goofy hooker in front of camera because she knows the difference between a stolen base and first down and she looks good.

While Heather is easier on the eyes than Holly or Beth, I'd much rather have the latter two give an analysis of the game than goofy Heather, she's just dim witted.

Bama Chick has got this. RollEagles argument is dead even if he don't know it yet.

Also, RollEagles...member since February 2014. 25 total posts as of this post. 20 have been in this thread. Strange.

Am I the only one that would categorize Dinich's looks in the Holly/Beth department?

You need to give up. BamaChick straight up exposed you when you tried to make the argument that Cecil Hurt hasn't gone after Finebaum, Cowherd, and Kannell. She gave you concrete evidence that he has, and there was no backlash at all in those cases. The criticism now being leveled at Hurt by journalists, twitter idiots, and yourself is explicitly based on the presumption that he is sexist. Inherent in that argument is that their issue with his statements is that they were leveled at a woman.

I've never liked Hurt and I don't give a shite about the situation to be honest. But you're embarrassing yourself by taking on the role of White Knight (widely regarded as sexist, I might add) and continuing to argue even after the main crux of your argument has been proven fallacious.

Idk if it's been said yet, but I"m fairly certain Cecil is a liberal. So, I mean, you reap what you sow. (provided i'm correct about him)

OTHERWISE i'd be all for supporting home team here.

Cecil went after them by questioning their journalism? Tweeting about everything being fine on a show unless Kannell is there isn't the same as saying Dinnich isn't qualified.

Difference between Cecil's previous comments against other Alabama trolls was that he made it personal against Dinnich.

Other people's criticism might be based in the inclination that he's sexist. I can't speak for that. It seems that most of his colleagues and fellow journalists are criticizing him for being unnecessarily dickish.

That's where my criticism of Cecil comes from. You don't question another journalist's qualifications if you don't agree with them. If their opinions are different, you don't immediately jump on saying they can't do their job. That's just illogical.

Cecil knows this. It's why he's tweeted that he should have stopped before he tweeted and thought about what he was going to say. It's why he's walked back the way in which he responded to Dinnich's comments but not his criticism of Dinnich's comments.

There isn't a sexist part of this. At least not to me. It's a professionalism thing. If you're a journalist who has years of experience, you should know that questioning someone's qualifications over a disagreement of opinion is just wrong.

The main point of my argument has been proved fallacious?

From the start, my argument has been that Cecil made a mistake by making a difference of opinion, a personal issue. I don't know whether or not it was based in sexism or not. Quite frankly, we don't have enough here to say that Cecil is a sexist and that's quite frankly wrong to label him as a sexist.

I know some people on Twitter are trying to make it a sexist thing and white knighting. That's not what I've done from the start. I'm saying that Cecil is wrong and shouldn't be defended because he was being a dick and he knows it. That's why he's said it was something he shouldn't have tweeted.

I'll give you an example. Let's say Cecil is a person who worked in the scientific community and his expertise is studying a potential cancer drug. Heather is another person who also works in the field and makes a statement that the new potential cancer drug should be looked at more closely due to side effects. Cecil takes issue with that and Tweets/responds by saying that Heather is unqualified. That would be nonsense and an incredibly immature way to deal with that. If Cecil said he disagreed and that he thought Heather's opinion was severely flawed, that would be completely fine.

Point I'm making is that Cecil is a professional journalist. He's a professional. He's not a message board poster. He's not some random person on Twitter. There's a certain level of maturity that you would expect from a professional.
