As much as Deion preaches doing the right thing the fact that McClain was able to get away with this makes me think Deion has some hot air in him

I mean, I know he does. Just pointing out his hypocrisy in how he would suspend player for being 5 minutes early for meetings, not sitting in the front row in class, etc.

Anyways back to portal stuff. Do we think the staff contacts McClain seeing how we need some exp in the defensive backfield?

Alabama will not pursue here. Had some issues at Colorado that will more than likely be a turnoff for other programs. Wish nothing but the best very talented player.

- Some guy on Twitter

Regardless, we'll want more experience. Like the guy from FSU or maybe the one from WKU.

"Unpopular opinion"...

Proceeds to say something most everyone agrees with.

I see it a thousand times a day.

Just looking at these guys in the portal, so far, very few good players in the portal at any position, especially at the DT position.

99% are former 2 star or low 3 star recruits from schools like Southern Miss or UMASS who seldom, if ever started a game.

I know it’s only been a few days but I think there’s a real possibility Bama picks up no one in the portal (I don’t count Proctor). I don’t see CKD signing warm bodies out of the portal.

To me, it’s almost like shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and hoping to find something really nice, possible but unlikely this year.

There are some good players in the portal. The portal is not about chasing recruiting stars, it's about filling positions of need with experience. Those dbs we got out of the portal the other year, key and I can't remember the other one from UAB, they were 3 stars in the portal but were able to contribute

Iowa had Kadyn Proctor listed on their roster as 6'7 318 lb. If that's true, and it kind of tracks with that picture of him at a day where he was looking pretty trim, that really bodes well for him to be able to play on the more athletic type of line that deboer uses and hold up against fast rushers. I think that's a great playing weight for him

Amos would have been a starter this year. Stars no longer matter once a guys has been around for 3+ years in college and shown what he can do. I will take a 3 star recruit like Amos all day long over a 5 star that hasn't produced in college.

Can’t believe we accepted a transfer from Iowa. Do we even know if he can play SEC level football?

He gave up a bunch of sacks last year, would Saban have taken him?

Any chance that Alabama would have interest in Michigan receiver Karmello English from phenix city. He entered the portal.

He caught one pass last year. WR is one position I'm not that worried about. Adding Ryan Williams to the group will only make them better. Odom looks good too. I'm not sure how many offensive players they'll take but I'm certain they'll target several defensive guys.

Demonic Williams, DT from TCU, All Big 12 last season is planning on entering the portal. 6’2”, 310 lbs.

I would think this guy merits a serious look.

This is going to start a whole new thread about people going to hell and the wickedness or the world if we sign him.
