A little OT, but ALDOT just released a free traffic app called ALGO Traffic. It won't be perfect right out of the gate, but the more feedback they get, the better it will be.

Went to Ttown on Saturday, first time I've been on gameday since Florida 2014. The new building kind of in front of Tutwiler is very nice. Not a big fan of the new CVS on the strip though. Kind of obtrusive.

We were going to try and find tickets outside the stadium, but ended up not being able to find anything reasonable, and I'm kind of glad we didn't. We went to Steamers on the strip and had an incredible meal while we watched the game. We stayed at Hotel Capstone, which was very convenient. Was a great Saturday. Roll Tide.

It was a little dead when I went there. Granted, most everyone has gone home for Christmas break by now.

I like all of these new hotels and restaurants and all, be we need to attract more high paying, corporate jobs to the down town area. We need to build some commercial buildings too.

Hopefully it goes through. The hotel scene here was lacking, and adding it on the scenic riverfront is a huge plus.

County has ambitious plans for intersections

State transportation officials unveiled ambitious plans for the intersection of Alabama Highway 69 South and Skyland Boulevard on Monday.

The Alabama Department of Transportation also has a plan to resurface Lurleen Wallace Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa, install bump-outs and other landscaping to streamline traffic flow and eliminate the parallel parking available on certain parts of the street.
