Establish a north/south run game with Bo and Harris, then start opening up with Ridley and Howard on intermediate to long distance passes. Need to get those two guys in space.

Furthermore, if a play breaks down, Hurts must take care of the ball. He is a very good down hill runner.

As I said before, if we win the battle at the LOS at least most of the time, we win the game.

It'd be nice to see a ball control offense with long drives that dominate the TOP. Keep the ball out of Watson's hands and keep our defense rested.

Need to avoid a shootout and try to take the pressure off of Jalen to be the focal point of the offense.

Probably going to be a lot of passes early on for Bama. Clemson will have no respect for the Bama passing game and will load the box and probably have a guy spying Hurts.

If Hurts can't make the throws to loosen up the D, it is going to be a long night.

Run the ball with our BACKS until Clemson proves they can consistently stop it.

Attack their sidelines with screens to Ridley and throws to the flat to OJ

If Clemson loads the box, we have to utilize Jacobs, Howard and maybe even Forristall against their LB's. Roll outs, naked boots away from the pressure to hit some out routes and drags.

The deep ball should be avail vs Clemson.

Running game should be a mix of power and read/option. It worked well vs thr Huskies, who most will say is a better defense than Clemson

I'm just glad our D has faced hurts for a while and should be prepared for Watson to some degree. Hurts will ball out come Monday, just watch.

I may be mistaken but I am pretty sure that Washington is ranked #10 in defense and Clemson is ranked #6. It's reasonable to say that Clemson also did it against a tougher schedule. Clemson has 2 or 3 former 5 star guys on the dline and they are well coached.

Sure, but they did give up a good bit to Pitt, Virginia Tech, FSU, and even Troy. They can be exploited.

Well yeah of course they can be exploited. Our defense which is the king of elite can also be exploited by elite passers. The point is that Washington isn't as good as Clemson on either side of the ball. I like our chances though. Pruitt may be Watson's kryptonite.

Clemson's defense isn't as stout as last year. I watched the Pitt game and Pitt was almost running on them at will.
I don't think that this is a good defense to go all RPO and horizontal offense on. I think we will be fine on offense if we use short drop back passes (not screens) to loosen up the D, and then put in the big mfer Bo to hammer them inside. Just let Jalen make some basic passes, and obv if nothing's open, just run.

The key to our success on offense is picking up at least SOME positive yardage on every play, eliminating penalties, and having long drives to wear Clemson down.
I honestly believe 60% of our offense should be Bo running the ball.
The last thing we want is Deshaun Watson getting tons of possessions, and a shootout like last year.

We need to hold Clemson to under 30 points and win the turnover margin

Stat is a tad deceiving, Clemson is 32nd in rush defense to go along with it. While having a better pass defense in stats compared to Washington. There is a huge difference in rush def. Washington was #7. So Washington in reality is a little more rounded.

We can win this game if we stick with the downhill run game

Washington also has one of the best defensive backfields in the country and one of the reason they lead the country in turnovers. That forced us to not pass downfield in fear of their DBs. CU DBs are not as good. Plus one of those 5 stars on the DL for CU is a TF and their LBs play over aggressive and once you get through the hole like Pitt showed RBs get big yards each play.

Thanks. I guess we shouldn't have a problem on the ground as long as Jalen can keep their safetys deep. I have been hard on Hurts but I believe in him. Thanks for the link.
