He does have a record of being a terrible play caller. There's a reason he wasn't an OC last season.
I think Belichick dumped the local idiot on us

Fortunately we were able to win a NC even with Nussmeier, albeit with a pocket passer at QB

I think Daboll gets a lot of credit for things he didn't do in New England with TEs.

He inherited a fortune at the position...

Ah, yes. I forgot about the horrible Sunday and Monday threads by Bama fans who know enough football to think they know football, but really don't know piss.

Now it's football season!

Maybe this is the OC, I didn't see the RB pass or the TE stuff. I dunno at this point I hope he isn't a bust. He is a yes man when it comes to Saban, and you can't force Jalen to be something he isn't.

Two passes caught by the RBs. Others were called. I know there were TE plays called but protection broke down or it was covered up.

Yeah one to Bo and one to DH, I meant screen more than anything. Would have helped I think.

I don't think he's one and done but he did call a poor game last night. But that is what a great defense will do to ya. Jimbo called a shitty game as well in my opinion.

It's game one. Honestly, Bama can win most game ones based on talent alone. Talent means more in game one then it does any other game. Teams aren't gelled. New starters have jitters. New coaches, etc.

I don't think anyone can make safe assumptions about anyone on our team. New team, new year.

What plays could he have called to make the OL block better?

I don't agree with the OP, but get out of here with this pretentious bullshite. It's a sports forum. Someone having a different opinion or take doesn't make them a dumbass and is the point of forums. If you want groupthink, go to TideFans.

Max protections, screens, quick underneath routes- there are lots of ways to slow down an opponent's pass rush.

It's not like Florida State was getting there just with their front every time. They were bringing extra rushers almost every play.

Pretty much this.

A lot of people exposed how little they know about a sport they claim to love.

I don't even mean complex things.

I mean we have a spoiled child of a fanbase that is having a tantrum because the the defensive line which is better than our own and a defense which is probably just as good... limited us.

Well no shite. Ffs

FSU has 4 five star defensive backs and 3 five star defensive linemen on their team.

We did fine.

This game reminded me a lot of 2013 Virginia Tech. Defense and Special teams played so well, the offense didn't have to do shite. Saban loves those types of games.

I was literally just thinking about that prior to reading your comment.
