If Jalen can't get his passing game going a little next game, we are in trouble.

I will take an average game manager performance from him right now. Hurts was a liability today.

This year will be a different game.

1.)Jalen has to pass. He has to keep the team honest and balanced. We've went away from passing. I'm not 100% if this is the gameplan or Jalen is playing way too uptight. During the 2nd half of the season he has regressed passing downfield or refuses to do so.

2.) Bama's defense will play faster and more aggressive under Pruitt rather than Kirby.

3.) Mike Williams and Hunter Renfrow may finna eat. Last year, it was all the Renfrow show with a bit of Leggett. Now, they are going to have Mike Williams, Renfrow, Leggett, and Deon Cain (who was suspended last year). I'm not sure we have the horses to stop all of these weapons plus Watson's scrambling.

4.) I think Clemson could be the more complete team. I hope Diggs can give us a special team boost. I think he will.

UWs DL was legit. You are underselling Washington

I'm fricking excited about this match up. Glad to be back. Sucks that its a week and half away. To be the champ, you have to beat the best, and I don't think there is any doubt that these are the two best teams.

I think that there is a TON of underselling for Washington, and also a good bit of people overselling how good OSU actually was this year.

Went away from the pass? Did we watch the same game?

If anything we went away from the run.

Our secondary is better now than it was last year. Our pass rush is better too. Watson won't have as much time to throw.

He can't do much worse than he did today.

We ran the ball 50 times tonight to 14 passes. We weren't balanced. The issue is that Hurts ran the ball more than pass. A lot of these were scrambles and an actual pass did not occur. Bama is always a balanced team with run/pass and we weren't tonight because Hurt wasn't comfortable throwing.

I believe we hold Clemson to fewer points than last year.

But I also believe we will score fewer.

Depends on which hurts shows up. And if Kiffin has horrible play calling like today. The last 3 games have left a lot to be desired from Kiffin. Auburn, Florida, and Washington were play calling abortions. If we just run and play action pass off running success, we will win. But we do not need to pass on first down. You get all you can on 1st down and go from there. You're digging yourself a hole and making yourself 1 dimensional throwing on 1st down as much as he does.

Hurts has several issues. He has several opportunities to throw down field after he extends a play and he chooses to just run it no matter what. He doesn't hit receivers in stride and lead them. He waits until their open to throw instead of anticipating on when they'll be open. He leaves the pocket too soon and it leaves him without blocking. He reads the read option wrong too much. Kiffin's is pretty simple. He has his play calling backwards. The plays are creative and fine. When he calls them is wrong and backwards. Run first pass second. Not pass first.

Outside of that. The only mistakes I saw on defense was when Marlon Humphrey bit on the double move by pettis and got beat for the TD. And then the other mistake was the few times when Alabama went to zone defense. When you play man to man, you force a perfect throw. In zone, there's too much relying on other people to cover half your assignment. An offense can confuse a defense easier by motioning and running crossing patterns because you're playing sections on the field instead of a player.

Watson and Mike Williams make me nervous. Renfroe raped us last year as well.

The big thing that gives me hope is that this year's defense is definitely built to match up with clemson's offense.

I still think we are going to have to pass a little for us to win. Washington's secondary was legit. But we need to give Bo the ball and run on first down.

If Clemson brings their A game to Tampa next week we have to match them.

If we don't play out best game they will beat us.

They are for real.

We should go full on I formation against them.

Just fricking pound the rock behind our offensive line like '92.

If we win we'd be the first team to go 15-0.
