I'll guarantee you Coker sucks on the road.

Not arguing just think Coker was never the guy for a reason.

Unfortunately, it looks like Coker is the best option we have right now.

I completely disagree with the Play-Barnett-Now-So-We'll-Be-Better-Down-The-Road crowd.

You never know what's gonna happen this season (or next), so you play the guy that's gonna win the game this week.

I just don't think Barnett is physically ready. You also don't want ruin his confidence by tossing him out there too early.

But get back to me if we lose a couple of more games and things really get off the rails. Of course it'd be nice if we didn't have to start another new QB again next year.

Cokers all we got. We'll beat the teams with lesser talent, and lose to the ones with equal talent.

Considering we have no equals when it comes to talent I take it you're predicting us to win out?

So do I. They only have 1 loss. Lose again and he needs to be the starter though.

Good point. No. We'll probably choke a few more times because our staff refuses to make adjustments and actually coach during a game.

He's better than Bateman. He had some gutsy runs. Kiffin gets some of the blame for dialing up the long bomb late when we had three minutes to move the ball downfield and every long pass had failed to that point.

This. You cant post those numbers and just ignore not only his turnovers, but the times that he hit the defense in the hands and they just didnt catch it. He's lucky he didnt have 5 picks last night

I didn't say he was Peyton Manning, or Brady, or Rogers, etc...

I posted what any coach will tell you. If you put up 500yds and 34pts, your QB isn't the problem. The QB led 5 systematic TD drives. These are facts. If you want to hate on that fine, but I'll try to focus on the 3 other turnovers and multiple mistakes on defense/ST that made 37 points of offense not enough

And coaches lie all the time. There isn't a coach in the world that will watch that film and say Jacob Coker played a good game because he did not. There were many players that did play a great game, he just wasn't one of them.

So you want to lay blame on the guy that lead the offense to 34 points.

Makes sense

We had 2 kickoff fumbles and he got us back in the game, the bomb call was a bad call, we had 3 minutes ad were driving at will on them, blame the center for a missed block.

We had 3 drops on the drive that ended the game.

We were straight up just blowing blocks all game it seemed like.

This really bugged me. Why would we chuck it down field like that when that is one of the things Coker is bad at?

So kiffin could do his stupid "throw my hands up before the TD" gimmick again

The game plan was atrocious. Looking forward to Coker doing work on ULM

What's to defend? But I do like the idea of a fight.

It was a horrendous call. We should have dinked and dunked it down the field. We had three minutes and were in pretty good field position after Coker's run on the first play of that drive. Even in the unlikely event that Coker completes that pass and it goes for a touchdown, you give the ball back to Ole Miss with about 2:40 to play. If you run a slower paced two minute drill, hitting out routes and even running the ball if you want, you have an opportunity to get the go-ahead score with virtually no time left, like we did to LSU in 2012. Really an abysmal call to try to get it all on one play when you know Coker hasn't hit a pass over 24 yards all night.

I know you IRL... you're not really big enough to be making threats like that.

No need in insulting the kid. We just are not strong enough or even remotely consistent at the QB position. We have all known this for quite some time. We do not have the line to just line it up and run like 2009-2012. I remember people complaining about McElwain's play calling and how we didn't throw the ball enough but I sure do miss those days.

Statistically our offense has improved with each new coordinator. McElwain's offense was actually pretty balanced between run/pass. People have nostalgia for him because he was there for two championships, but I remember him getting some pretty heavy criticism when we only managed 12 points against Tennessee in 2009, when we choked away the 2010 Iron Bowl, and when we lost 6-9 to LSU in 2011.
