if it's really just the music thing. not terribly bad, except for the fact that tb did not just do what the cops said. that bugs me.

and, starting another discussion...this is why having monitored, football/sports dorms should be reinstated. 18 year old kids, that have not really even graduated from high school & are thrown onto a fun college campus need a lot of mentoring, not to mention, monitoring.

I've been at some pretty raucous parties where the cops have been called 3-4 times in a night and have never seen someone arrested. It's hard to imagine what would cause that to happen.

ETA: in Hoover, AL

Ummm... They pretty much already have this. I'm 99% sure he's living in Bryant Hall.

I'm not familiar with the track team but I saw somewhere they had meet on Saturday. Was this party to celebrate a win?

frick, and I mean frick as in they can go die, frick police. I know nobody here gives a shite about this but I just got a DUI(it was dropped). Had 4 beers and got pulled over for my windows, wouldn't blow, and got arrested. Fine. I broke the (stupid) law.

Just got the arrest report and the cop wrote I was running up on the sidewalk and couldn't control my truck. Said I fell out of my truck and he couldn't understand my speech.

I don't give a frick what anyone says, cops are pieces of fricking shite. Period.

so if someone had been in your condition and had just killed a family member of yours then I bet you would be saying FU to the cops too right?

Sorry, but you shouldn't be behind the wheel after four beers. And I generally agree with you about police misconduct, but you couldn't be more wrong about drinking and driving.

Was it at his dorm? Who's to say it wasn't his place to turn the music down?

Could have been a deal where everyone at the party was punished for one guys actions. I've seen it happen before. TPD has it's fair share of meat head douche bags that think they're the fricking American dictator

TPD threatened to arrest me one night because I yelled "frick you" at someone who was talking shite on the strip.

We will have to disagree about the DUI stuff. Just to address your statement I'd hate anyone inconsiderate enough to kill a loved one if mine with a vehicle. When I drive I know other peoples lives are potentially in my hands, no matter if I've had 20 beers or 0.

Anyways, the point of my post was to address the way cops conduct their business. And I'm not shaping this off my single situation. Cops will do ANYTHING they can to warrant their behavior and it's sick. Not trying to sway your opinion of them. It's the truth though.

I worked at TPD while I was in school for two years. Most of those officers, guys and girls, were real cool. Students were mostly given a lot of latitude unless they were being dickheads. Most issues were settled with common sense. What I remember most was the interdepartment dating dramas. Which is true of most departments. I think that has been sharply curtailed though. Not in that line of work now thankfully. Lots of pressure, very little pay.

eta.. While I was there we had to watch the Bryant street signs like a hawk, they were always coming up missing. Which one of you guys want to fess up to owning one

He ignored warnings from cops (in a parking lot), yelled threatening profanity at the cops so they arrested him at which time he resisted and they were forced to pepper spray him.

Not good

Here's to hoping he can still play. I don't give a damn about anything else, unless he killed someone. We need him.

I think it's safe to say he'll be working his way out of the doghouse for a long time
