I truly believe Clemson may be psyching themselves out.

I'm not a coach and never will be a coach. I also really like Dabo. That said, there's way too much emphasis by the CU players on last year's game. I would have my players saying "that was a different game between different team. It has no relevance to this year's game." Now we might not believe that, but that would be the public face of our mentality.

Dabo is saying they are bettter prepared mentally and physically this year. Stuff like that is just feeding their overconfidence and IMO, you can't come into a title game with that mentality.

That's why I want to see us make this game boring and hog the ball from them. Feeling better and better about it as the week goes on.

What the hell is he talking about? Is he saying they weren't prepared last year? I mean they played well last year. We had more in the tank on offense and special teams. Our defense was a shite show in that game however so I guess it is equally true for us.

Can you look up the stat I just heard from Joe Klatt about how Clemson under Dabo underperforms in games following a big blowout win? That seemed too good to be true.

I'm glad they beat the hell out of Ohio St., if anything, that got our attention.

Bama usually doesn't play bad two games in a row. If the offense has a bad game one week, they are usually way better the next week. If the D plays bad one week, they play lights out the next week.

Actually, what Klatt said is that when Clemson holds a team to 7 or less, in the next game, they average giving up 38 (I think that was the number) points in the following game.

Yeah it was specifically this year, the three times they have given up 7 or less, the enxt three games they average giving up 38, including 43 to Pitt in that loss.

Tbh all these mental mind games everyone keeps on talking about will go out the window Monday night. Both teams will be evenly matched (albeit have different strengths on different sides of the ball) and it will be a tightly played game that will go late in the 4th quarter.

Well fellas (and ladies) I have some bad new for the Crimson faithful. I spent the last 2 days in the Greenville, SC area just as I did this time last year. The Clemson fighting Dabo's and their fan base are over the top even worse than they were last year.

It seams the Dabos had a problem with the bright lights of the big stage last year but that is no longer the case. This year they know they belong in the spotlight rather than getting wide eyed watching the spectacle. Clemson has all the "juice" and Alabama no longer has the emotional lift because of "been there, done that". The Alabama players want no part of the Dabos, They know that they should not have won the game last year and Watson is gonna control the game with his great cast of receivers. Their running back always preforms better in the biggest games. Our QB will not be able to handle what their defense is bringing, they will be in his face and in his head all night. Alabama is going to have a tough start because of fear and then it will be too late to recover. Once the Dabos get a lead, they will put the hammer down.

There will be no special teams bailout. Dabo himself has been working on removing all flaws from their special teams unit since the trip home from the game last January. On top of that, Watson and his line will be even better at making us pay when we put on a pass rush. He is "The Man" and will light up the holes in our secondary.

I am so upset after hearing all about how bad they will make us look based on what they did to OSU and how bad our Offense was against UW...I don't think I will be able to even watch the game. Just gonna let someone else use my ticket and stay home to rake leaves on Monday. At least that way I can accomplished something without having to pay someone else to do it.

Teams on a "war path" to avenge a CFP loss don't lose to Pitt after the CFP polls start. They benefitted from 2 other Top 5s losing that week.

Clemson shutting out OSU was one of the best things that could happen for Bama's mentality and focus heading into this game.

That sort of thing is a great off season and even during season goal type thing, but this idea that they specifically want us and revenge and yapping about it all over the place.

Again, they want it they got it.

LOL

I don't know any specifics, but I do know they were up and down and up and down all season. They were far from consistently dominant, and all of a sudden people have already forgotten that just 2 games ago Virginia Tech was on the 20 attempting to tie the game with under 1 minute in the 4th.

But man, I'm all for it. Let everyone ride this Clemson wave. We'll just be sitting over here waiting to punch those motherfvckers right in the mouth.

Clemson boards read just like the LSU boards going into the NC/rematch that year. It is incredible that they are so confident.

We've been hungry for revenge before and got our way the next time.

Examples:
2008 Auburn
2009 SECCG
2013 aTm
21-0

Dude, we have won 25 straight games. Everyone who plays us is out for "revenge."
