Pretty clear that Clemson thinks we somehow "stole" their championship last year. A lot of comments from Dabo, the players, and their fans about how they just ran out of time and are in a better spot this year. They see this opportunity as the chance to right some sort of wrong because they think they were the better team and will be again. Of course they are being told all week by the media how they have all the tools to beat us.
Some call that swagger, but it's also faux confidence in a false reality. I like that they are the ones getting their ego stroked all week. I want Watson walking on that field thinking he can throw it into any coverage.

They should be confident. They are ACC Champs and have went to back to back championships.
As far as ego, they hung 40 on our defense, have extra motivation from last year AND know they are facing a true freshman on offense.

I wasn't scared of Clemson until now. They are hungry and are on a war path.
We've been hungry for revenge before and got our way the next time.

Just because they're out for "revenge" doesn't mean they have some sort of mental edge on our guys. Our defense will still be salty and I think we'll have a better game plan as we were very vanilla for Washington. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about not coming home with hardware but I got faith in Saban.

We've also seen it not work. See LSU 2012, LSU 2013, LSU 2014, LSU 2015, LSU 2016. See us against OM 2015. See every team against us that has lost to us in the past five years yet still can't win the revenge game.

Dabo is a better coach than Les Miles.
Miles had Spencer Ware, Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr, Eric Reid, Minter, Tyrann Mathieu, Brockers, Mo Claiborne, Tharold Simon and still lost.

I don't think the current circumstances are going to work in Clemson's favor. Bama players feel like they have something to prove.

You just compared 2008 AU to 2106 Alabama.
2009 UF had problems on both sides of the ball all year. Revenge had nothing to do with that game. We were just better.
2013 a&m lost like 5 games that year. Again, we were just better than them.
21-0 was a rematch from the same year. Extremely hard to beat a team twice in a year.

I think things are lining up about as well as they possibly could, honestly.
It won't matter once they get in between the lines but I like the external factors of the week.
I truly believe Clemson may be psyching themselves out.
