The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect from Woodberry Forest (Va.) had interest from a number of smaller programs including Northern Iowa and Samford, but didn’t pass up the opportunity with Alabama when it was presented itself.
Hereford unofficially visited Tuscaloosa for the Charleston Southern game in November.

Yeah the media was certainly singing Alabama praises after that 2007 season when we signed the best class in the country in February of 2008.
That media coverage was definitely the catalyst to that class.

So there is a dude over on BOL who has a nephew that appears to be a SEC-level recruit. His name is Monty Rice out of Madison, AL (James Clemens). He was offered by USCe and Muschamp this weekend and this was their pitch to him:

A shite ton.
What gets me though, is that Muschamp is using this pitch now, 11 and a half months before NSD, when we haven't even had a chance to evaluate Rice in person.
I get it if looks like we are favoring one or two recruits at a position and are waiting on their decisions before moving on to the next group. But at this point in this class who can say who our top group is, especially at the ILB position?
