5. 4-star Eric Crosby

Height/Weight: 6'1", 285 lbs

High School: Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, Virginia)

247Sports Ranking: No. 5 DT, No. 97 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 93/100

Recruitment Status

The intensity of Eric Crosby's recruitment seems to increase daily, as he's now up to 15 reported offers. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are among the programs in the hunt for Crosby. His most recent offer came from Penn State on Feb. 3.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Crosby's speed makes him a candidate to play anywhere on the defensive line. He fits best at defensive tackle, as he blends strength (24/25 explosive strength) and speed. He's run the 40-yard dash in 4.79 seconds. Crosby's motor (5/5 motor) makes him an intriguing prospect at the next level. He plays with a lot of intensity, and he has a mean streak that will win over coaches throughout the recruiting process.

1. 5-star Marvin Wilson

Height/Weight: 6'4", 316 lbs

High School: Episcopal (Bellaire, Texas)

247Sports Ranking: No. 1 DT, No. 5 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 97/100

Recruitment Status

Marvin Wilson has 25 reported offers and has in-state schools Texas and Texas A&M high on his list. Wilson isn't opposed to playing college ball out of state, though, and LSU, USC, Alabama, Michigan and UCLA are among the schools to keep an eye on.

Bleacher Report Analysis

The first thing you notice about Wilson is, physically, he looks like a classic defensive tackle. He has a college-ready frame, and he uses it to bull-rush (25/25 explosive strength) in both run and pass situations.

Wilson plays with excellent pad level (24/25 run defense) and a level of competitiveness that coaches will love. He doesn't fear lining up against elite offensive linemen, and when he gets in a rhythm, he is extremely difficult to contain.

Alabama coaches have assured him that he will get that scholarship offer soon,
Why bother to offer a scholarship? Dude says right up, he wants to leave the state.

Get someone that wants to be here....

Just read the aubs are letting Codi Burns be co-OC with lashgey.

This is the same Codi Burns that couldn't beat out Chris Todd and got moved to WR. I hope they let him call plays.

Besides that, why would they hire a former terrible player 5 year removed from college to be the OC? I would be nervous if McElroy was the QB coach.

It was the spot vacated by Craig, so they just shoehorned him in. Craig had no say in the offense(why he left), just like Burns won't.

Gus sticking by Lashlee will be his downfall. Only guys he can get to coach for him now are former players and yes men...

This sounds incredibly ignorant.

It does? Oh god. I need to work on that.

You're right though. Great hire. We need to follow suit and bring Mike McCoy back to coach receivers and run our offense. It'll pay off big time.

Gus's high school offense and inability to develop quarterbacks will be his downfall. Auburn would be in much better shape had they hired Smart back then. Glad they didn't, they will be looking for another coach come December.

I'd wager that has more to do with the fact that very few great players go into the coaching profession.
