Besides kicking, what does the team need to improve most?

My opinion would be the offensive line. I know they probably won't see another defense this talented for quite some time, but they got manhandled too many times tonight. Too often I saw Hurts running for his life or running backs met right at the line of scrimmage. Tom Luginbill claimed that the linemen were winded early in the second quarter. Got to get that resolved.

What do you see as the area most in need of improvement?

OC. Even though FSU's defense is legit, I thought Daboll left a lot to be desired tonight.

Agree and OL. Give hurts some time and we are good to go.

Switched over to LSU game. Did Hurts finish with more than 5 yards in the 2nd half? I thought he did what they asked him to do. Can't do better than win.

More of those plays where Damien Harris carries the ball. At least tonight, that would have improved the team by a lot.

This:

Granted I actually know precious little about the X and Os of college football; why, with Bo and Harris on the field why were we running true fresh Harris??
Also; with the aforementioned studs to run tailback why did they put Ridley in a short catch role???

Passive offense. Poor blocking and Jalen didn't do us any favors either.

The offense...we can't win out with all these wrinkles. Hopefully, we get them ironed out as the season goes on. But good grief, there were some really bad moments tonight; definitely had flashbacks of the worst parts of last year.

We can't figure out what the frick we want to do on offense.

It's like a kid with too many toys.

OL and Jalen have to improve. An inability of keeping teams off balance and not extending drives can make us lose games this year. The offense didn't finish this game.

We did run more tonight and I think we had the ball for 30+ minutes. Have to improve though.

We didn't go deep enough. They sold out to stop the run, we had 1 overthrow, 1 50 yard completion, and 1 pass interference. Not enough deep balls

We may not have gone deep enough tonight, but did we have a single fricking pass completed in the 15-25 yard range?
The intermediate pass game continues to be nonexistent. It's like it has to either be a short pass, pass behind the LoS, or a rainbow ball

I'm not opposed to letting a true freshman badass have been 3 carries against FSU in the season opener. A couple random plays, and he's our starter. There's probably done psychological element to it too. It's not like he did some amateur shite like promise him the first carry of the year.

We need to get our killer instinct back on offense. We got what, three straight possessions inside FSU's 40 due to turnovers, and only came away with 11 points?

That game should have been over, for all intents and purposes, by the time the fourth quarter started. We should have been up by 21 to 28 points.

We also have to improve our pass defense. We can't continue to rely on d-linemen batting down balls to stop drives.

On the other hand, we just beat a team most pundits claim was one of the best in the country, and a legitimate playoff contender, by 17 points. Hard to argue with the result.

That's my question. We have nothing in that area and it's really frustrating.
