@JDrumUK: Point guard Anthony Barber has had a great NBPA Top 100 showing. He's talked up #Bama a lot today. Visiting Tide after event. @TimWatts_BOL

Sounds really good actually.

My top three performers from NBPA Camp were Andrew Harrison, Kuran Iverson and Cat Barber.

If he is coming all the way from VA for an unofficial, we definitely have a great shot at him.

By all accounts I've seen he was one of the best players there (a lot of gets whatever shot he wants type stuff). Already a five star but he may even move up a bit.

That Duke is in it without offering yet worries me a bit. But all the stuff reported today sounded better for us than Kansas. Hopefully he commits during the visit and Duke moves on.

I am hoping that Coach K just doesn't think he would fit in well with Duke's philosophy. From what I have seen of him he seems to be more of a slasher/creator than a distributor/shooter.

Im telling you Coach K isnt feeling the whole Braids and Tatoos shite. Anyway in one of the articles it said he wouldnt rule out commiting to us on his visit. Thats huge! Hopefully if we can get him we can get a good wing.

A scout or two compared his game to Brandon Knight's. I wonder if he's visiting like tomorrow or waiting a week or so. The way the articles were written make it seem like he'd be coming right now.

Admittedly, all I have seen is a couple of highlight videos, but my first impression of him was a slightly bigger, more skilled version of Releford. Seemed like more of a driver than a shooter. Knight would rather sit back at the 3pt line than go to the basket.

He just looks like a good overall player. Doesnt seem as big as guys like Knight though. Looks like he can shoot it better than Knight could though.

Cant believe they compared him to Brandon Knight. They have the same physical looks coming out of HS, but Knight forced shite from anywhere on the court and isn't as fast as Barber nor does Barber have Knight's size or physicality. Maybe they've seen something in his game that I haven't, but I think these two players are completely different. Not saying one is better than the other, but I just don't see this comparison.

It was this tweet: @TMcCormickESPN: Watching Anthony Barber he reminds me of a former camper from three years ago Brandon Knight of the #pistons. Scores with ease @Top100Camp

@JeffRabjohns: 2013 No. 13 Anthony Barber led the #top100camp in scoring at 14.3 points per game.

Jerry Meyer wrote about Barber and some other guys for 247. I don't have a subscription though so someone that does needs to post it.

that article on Martin right below the OP was an interesting piece of news but damn that guy needs to learn how to write I think Martin will come down to LSU, Bama, and Louisville. He has pimped Louisville a lot in interviews (especially while Trent was still at LSU) but he's at nearly EVERY LSU home game sitting with Collis Temple Jr. Lots of people in the building working on him obviously

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Anthony Barber put the finishing touches on a superb performance at the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp with a strong final day, solidifying his status as one of the top point guards in the 2013 class.

Anthony Barber – He doesn’t have the leaping ability or outside shooting touch of Brandon Jennings, but in all other regards Barber closely resembles the Milwaukee Bucks star. He is “Cat” quick in every regard on the court, is a terrific finisher in the paint, is disruptive on defense and knows how to run a team. Another NBA star who comes to mind as a comparison is Tony Parker. Barber finished as the camps leading scorer with 14.3 points per game. He also averaged 2.8 assists per game.

– Jordan Mickey named Louisville and Ohio State as the schools recruiting him the hardest. He also listed offers from West Virginia, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama and USC.

quote:

– 2014 guard Tadrick Jackson is down to a 10 school list of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina State, DePaul, Tennessee, Alabama and Memphis. All 10 schools have offered and Georgia Tech and Florida State are recruiting him the hardest.

Thanks

So he's a Tony Parker/Brandon Jennings mix? I think if he committed, that'd be the most excited I've ever been over a recruit

Hopefully we get a commit this weekend out of him.

If we take him we know for a fact Jaren Sina has moved on (believe he already has anyway, but that is just a feeling)

Anthony Barber is up here as a player.

Jaren Sina is down here if you compare their talents.
