Is there actually something to that? Out of nowhere he's got 3 picks in a row to Kansas but I haven't heard really much at all about him having a good relationship with them. He's had a good relationship with Avery and lives in Georgia which would be way closer to home.

Beats me. The picks have come from a Kansas writer, a Duke writer, and a national writer fwiw. Also, there's a 247 article about Galin. Anybody have anything on that?

Probably not. He's visiting a blue blood at their Late night game so the analysts who care about their percentage correct are protecting their record. I kind of expected this.

Slater isn't always right but he's definitely connected. I imagine a lot more folks will change their pick now that he has.

Off topic, but anyway.
Scanned the NBA rosters this morning and its pretty easy to see why Bama has struggled in the recent past. There are currently 3 (unless I missed somebody) players with Bama ties on NBA rosters as preseason games get going.
Mo Williams who played a long time ago.
Alonzo Gee who played for Mark
JaMichal Green, who I think was a Mark recruit?

Pretty sad.

Yep. And Mo is retiring after this year. That'll leave only 2.

Nothing earth shattering. What he did on the visit (take tours of facilities, watch practice, hang out with coaches/players). Said we moved up his list now that Garza has committed to Iowa, and that he has visited LSU and Tulane and is visiting UAB next weekend. Wants to take one more visit but hasn't scheduled it.

Well folks, we are coming down the stretch for the early signing period. We will likely know something definitively by the end of next week on Herb Jones and Alex Reese. We will also be able to get a better read on where we stand with Collin Sexton and Troy Brown after their visit to Kansas. That just leaves Petty, Hammonds and Smith out there. There's only about a month and half until the first signing day. Also, all 6 picks are Herb to Bama now!

It appears Petty will go to KY if they allow him to commit. I was hoping their indecisiveness might help sway him to our side.

I have no idea how far down their list he is, but he's not 1 and probably not 2.

It really feels like we're stuck in a hole and can't get out. Last year we finally sign a big time recruit, Ferguson, and he goes overseas. Then we sign a good recruit in Eubanks and he's not eligible. Once the season started our best recruit broke his ankle and missed the whole year. Now we led for Sexton and he's starting to trend towards Kansas. Petty was 50/50 and now it seems like he may go to UK after all, even though it seemed like we may get him. Reese is probably gonna commit here, but UAB is pushing hard for him and that's not a guarantee. Herb has a good chance of going to Florida. All of this is hitting in a critical time where we need these recruits to build our program. Then u look over at Auburn and they're getting lucky with all these connections to 5-stars along with some good recruiting and they have the #1 class. Sometimes it just seems like Bama basketball is cursed. I won't give up until our 2017 class is official but it's looking more and more dangerous for us the longer these recruits wait around and don't commit.
