We need a coach that runs a normal offense and knows how to get around a basic full court press. This whole passing around the perimeter shite gets old.

the $$$ we have wasted on coach grant makes the money blown on my scholarship look genius. i am not proud of this either, but it is fact. if you guys are looking for a non football team to support, men's swimming (and f'ing diving) is almost top 10, we finished 11th or 12th at ncaa's last year and sport the fastest sprinter in college swimming. i promise bama swimming is every bit as exciting as bama hoops is currently. we even offer women in bathing suits too, i hope you like broad shoulders

Lol I don't know how Grant hasn't resigned with that factoid. He seems like a man with high character and integrity, so not sure why he is OK with that. 1-21 is just a damn joke.

I'm not a basketball expert but when I watch them they look very amatuerish against everyone they play. They pass the ball around as if they don't know what to do then somebody takes a shot which appeares to be poorly chosen, the shot is usually a mile off and then the other team goes through them ignoring their defense, scores, then it repeats. So.... Am I close or am I missing some hidden nuance of the game.

No one willingly walks away from 2 million. It's embarrassing to be that inept against decent teams though.

Exactly this. And we'll probably do ok in conference play, miss the NCAA, but CAG will get another year. Then the same thing next year. The fact of the matter is there's just no progress but the AD seems content with mediocrity when it comes to bball

His record against top 25 top 50 and top 100 teams are absolutely awful. He should have been fired a long time ago.

Does anyone else not really like Battle? I know Grant wasn't his hire but there is just something I don't really like about Bill. I hope Saban steps into that role once he stops coaching.

He's a figure head. I don't like him, because I thought he basically gave the fan base the middle finger with his CAG support Battle Plan last year. Even if you agreed with his decision, he basically insulted our intelligence with that BS.

Remember when we played the sorry teams early in the season and we were shooting the ball early in the shot clock, moving, getting good early shots? What happened when the chips were down? Grant told them to hold the ball at the top of the key until we were under 10 seconds on the shot clock and we never got a good shot.
Hale scored with just over 5 minutes left to put us up by 11. (Hale was the leading scorer last night). Grant promptly takes him out to put in our defensive stopper (who can't score anything other than a layup) Retin, because he thinks we have enough points to win.
We have the ball and are down 1 with plenty of time, and this doofus has no idea how to draw up a play so we get no timeout and almost a turnover.
After 2 (TWO!) timeouts (1 by us, 1 by them) our inbounds play with 1.2 seconds left was a 22 foot 3 by Rodney Cooper? With Levi running to the far side of the court? I said it after our 1 tourney trip. The guy has no idea how to draw up a play to get a good shot when we need it. He's refused to hire somebody and let them do it.

The saddest part about the collapse is that this happened with two head coaches on our staff. With a guy like Witherspoon to assist Grant, you would have thought these late meltdowns would be able to be avoided.

I remember thinking last year: Stop sending me damn Battle Plans telling me how I should feel about Grant. Just do your job and turn this hoops program into a winner.
