At least we get 2 of the 3 at home only the short trip to K'ville.

That 4 game in 5 weeks road trip to CoMo, to Little Rock, to Jax. & to Lexington last year was a bear too...

I'm of the opinion that all of these conference games are going to be hard struggles.

With our new QB/OC and "possibly" early struggles on defense, I can't be as hopeful as I usually am.

This. Mason wasn't a world beater, but he took care of the ball. I don't expect to see that level of security with whoever is next.

Why is that, sir?

I think QB play alone will determine how our season goes next year. I Feel pretty good about all the other positions.

I can't see any reason we will struggle early on either offense or defense. We return a lot of experience on both sides and have added a lot of depth on the DL especially.

Ramsey is a third year guy. Yes he doesn't have a lot of meaningful game experience, but neither did Mason. People seem to forget that Hutson seldom threw more than 10 yards past the LOS our first few games of 2014, and he also had multiple intentional grounding calls and failed to see some wide open receivers. At least Ramsey has the arm strength to make longer throws if the coaches deem him ready to do so.

Every college team starts every season dealing with inexperience, including the teams we face. As of right now, I like our depth at just about every position starting next year, and some of the positions where we lost experience we gained talent.

Loss of eligibility: Thornton, Drew, Herrera, Wilson, Swann

Their talent and leadership won't be replaced immediately.

The one think that does help is that our first four games are probably against the weakest part of the schedule.

Loss of leadership happens for every team when seniors graduate. New leaders are developed in the offseason. I don't see any losses that we can't replace as well as any other team we play early.

Is playing Vanderbilt at that slot a new thing? I thought I remembered UGA playing the tennessee schools back to back every year.

Y'alls schedule looks really tough this season, definitely don't envy that. However, if there's a silver lining at least you get a few breaks. Vandy before SC, cupcake before Alabama, bye before us, and UK before Auburn.

Yeah it's new. Usually play South Carolina in the second game of the season.

I'm not buying into any sort of hype with this team unless they beat Alabama at home. There's no excuse not to. It's time for something to change with this program and that would be a great start. If UGA is any less than 5-0 headed into Knoxville, it'll be hard to get too excited the rest of the way.

we REALLY need to start 2-0 in the SEC. should be able to handle vandy on the road and then take care of usce at home. that will go a long way in giving us some room for a slip up later on.

also really like that we get 2 games for whoever we go with at QB to really get into it before the cocks. i think the vandy game might be closer than we want it to be. even if it's a blowout, i wanna give the starter big time minutes. get as many snaps as he can with nothing on the line.

I disagree with that. I mean, we're "supposed" to lose to bama, and we will certainly not be favored. Plus, we know we've got some issues heading into '15 and bama has been the premiere program in america the last 7 years. Losing to them isn't going to derail our season.

At the very least, UGA needs a great showing against Alabama. If they come out and get slaughtered in yet another big game, it'll show me that nothing has changed. Just my opinion.

I will finally get to make a return to Athens this year for the Bama game. First time since 2008.

That Bama game will be huge (duh); it won't be the end of our season if we lose, but winning would be a huge launching point for success the rest of the season.

I figure we beat Bama only to turn around and lose to another mediocre Tennessee team.
