Hopefully those kids learn from the UF game last season... can't sleep on anyone, especially if they chug with their butt and have kd lang as their head coach

I'm expecting only one head scratching loss this year.

It's all about slow and steady improvement

One of at Vanderbilt, South Carolina or Missouri sounds about right for head scratching loss.

We'll destroy all three of those teams.

I don't see a loss in there.

I think the defense will be nasty enough to let the offense sputter and find its way. Having Chubb/Michel/Marshall helps tremendously.

I halfway agree.

The loss at C won't be too hard to overcome since whoever starts will already have a full season of OL experience (be it Wynn or Kubs most likely). QB is what it is..it always sucks breaking in a new guy without much experience. We've known for 2 years that this year would be tough at QB. OC I'm not worried about in the least. It will be pretty darn similar to what we already do, but with the added bonus of a few new wrinkles. Think about it...this will be the first season in over 8 years we haven't had Bobo calling plays. Although Bobo was tremendous lately, it's still kinda nice that DCs can't rely on 8 years' worth of film this year.

On defense we are losing some key players as well. DL, ILB, DB

Be totally honest with yourself...how much will losing Ray and Toby REALLY hurt? Yeah I mean it'd be nice to have them back, but they aren't going to make or break this season. Thornton will be a bigger loss, but there's no reason to think Trenton can't immediately help. We plugged Kedrick Golston in at DT from day 1 and he was productive from the start. I don't see why TT can't give us the same. And we brought in like 8 top flight DEs so I'm not worried about DL.

ILB is obviously huge. However, Carter and Kimbrough have proven to be plenty capable. Depth is a major concern, but our starting 4 LBs should be stout.

DB...losing Swann is also major, Moore also but a little less so. But you gotta think that a starting DB core of Mauger, Sanders, Parish, Davis, and whatever combo of Fenteng/Terry/some freshmen should be plenty capable.

And as for the scheudle, we should be alright. Open with a cupcake to work out the kinks and get comfy. Then @Vandy which is wonderful because it's not only an automatic win, but it's an early road game to get our guys familiar with being away from sanford, plus it's a step up in competition. Then at home against a SC team with more question marks than us. They will not be nearly as good as we've been used to. Being at home should absolutely be a win. Then another cupcake at home before the biggie with alabama.

Road trips: Jax, Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta and Auburn... Doesn't look to bad to me!
