In 2010 his offense put up more points than Malzahn's.

Judging Bielema on last year is going to make you clowns look foolish.

Because judging someone on one year is smart? I don't get the offensiveness of his post?

I absolutely agree that he deserves more time and no one should can make a fair judgement based off last year, but it's just as irrational to assume he will have the same success at Arkansas as he did at Wisconsin. Let's be honest he won that last conference title by default and all three appearances in the BCS bowls were losses. His offensive stats were inflated due to the poor competition that he was against in the big ten. He didn't pull in great recruitment classes while at Wisconsin and while he was a good coach in the big 10 he's facing off against coaches that are as equally talented as he is, if not better.

WOW

Who is even trying to have a legit conversation? It's the same old "can't beat Bama and Lsu" bullshite, even though we're obviously not far from beating Lsu as we stand right now.

And Petrino never beat Bama, a fact most people seem to forget.

We had an unreal 2 yr run with Petrino but his teams were going to fall off big time, he had quit recruiting. And his recruiting was going to be even worse after his scandal.

His offensive system of a big, fat running back getting 50 carries a game

Disagree. I think he will continue spreading the carries among 2-3 HBs as he did last year.

quote:

he usually doesn't put much value in quarterbacks. They are a distant second in his offensive system, which means whoever is behind center will always be mediocre and unpracticed.

Disagree. Sure there will be years, just like in any program, where the QB play won't be great. But when he does have decent talent at QB I think he will use it efficiently. See Russell Wilson's year.

BB's offense is very similar to LSU and Bama's. He just doesn't have the same 5 star talent. However, he can make up for that by recruiting a specific type of player for his offense, redshirting them, and keeping them on campus 5 years. While LSU and Bama are rotating out 3 year players every year, BB will be primarily starting 4th and 5th year experienced players.

His defense will never be great but he can somewhat hide it with a ball control offense. It's going to take another 3 or 4 years but I think BB can get Arkansas to an 8-4, occasional 10-2, Houston Nutt type level which Arky fans should learn to be happy with.

Arkansas was a complete disaster in 2012. Bielema needs a few seasons to clean that up. When your program goes in the toilet, it takes time.

He doesn't put value in QB's? What?

Just because he walked in on a shitty qb situation doesn't mean he doesn't value it.

And by the way, you probsbly shouldn't attack his way of developing a run game, seeing how he walked into dumpster fire at Arkansas and created one of the best running games in the SEC in 1 year

In the SEC west, someone has to suck. It's usually gonna be Ole Miss, State, or Arkansas. With the Mississippi schools drooling over potential 3rd place finishes, that leaves the razorbacks as the cellar dweller. Doesn't matter who the coach is. They just won't overcome the success around them. Arkansas isn't a recruiting hotbed most years so it'll take a lot of luck and a few coaching changes around the SEC to get them to the next level.

Bert's buy out is pretty high. I think he will work at least 3 more years.

Know you're just trolling, but in case you haven't seen the recent picture - our RB's are anything but 'fat'. One of our FB's just squatted 700 lbs, one of the RB's squatted over 450 WITH ONE LEG. (I know 'fat' and 'strength' are two different things, but generally if you're that strong your most likely not 'fat' either.

(Help me out Hog fans, I know I saw that Instagram pic of our RB's posted either on here or over at RT and can't seem to find the thread/pic now)
