Midnight Yell is something any opposing fanbase should come into town the night before to experience... and it might make the "noise" coming out of the student section on a Saturday more understandable. Obviously Bonfire was a huge deal until its unfortunate ending...

Outside of tailgating does any other SEC team have any student related events that take place before each game/big games, or is A&M just that much more tight-knit/loyal/cult-like than any other SEC fanbase?

ETA for Cliffnotes:
Auburn - "Walk" and "Eagle Flight"
Ole Miss - Celebrity Hotty Toddy
LSU - Walk Down The Hill, Cool Announer shite, Tiger in a cage and not even being walked around.. Alonzo made his shitty threadly appearance.
Arkansas - Dale is angry and agsessed as usual.
Georgia - Drink on Friday night (shocker)

I think the original "Walk" is Auburn's Tiger Walk. Also, arrive inside the stadium early enough to watch the eagle fly.

Does getting drunk downtown on Friday night count?

Ole Miss
Friday
Get some authentic, Southern soul food at Ajax
Grind on 21-year old babes at the Library (I'm still waiting for Grindfest to start, BTW)
Eat chicken-on-a-stick
Saturday
Pretty much everything centers around the Grove but I've enjoyed many a pre-game meals at Soulshine Pizza Factory on the Square

Catch the Walk of Champions through the Grove about two hours before kick

The band plays a free concert/pep rally of sorts on the Grove about an hour before kick and it's the only place you can hear a live rendition of the now infamous "From Dixie With Love"

Make sure to get in the Vaught early enough for the celebrity Hotty Toddy (we've had Snoop Dogg, Kermit the Frog, the cast from It's Always Sunny, Dennis Quaid, etc. in the past and they're always unique)

Be in Jordan-Hare Stadium 20 minutes before kickoff to watch the eagle fly. Go to Toomers Corner afterwards to see us roll Toomers.

You can wear a hat anywhere on campus so enjoy the freedom.

I'm pretty sure all universities engage in that ritual.

I'm not sure if now would be the best time to visit for witnessing that tradition.

That place is legit. If I'm ever in Oxford again, then I'm stopping there.

I have better things to do than spend my Friday night bending over, practicing cheers led by male cheerleaders.

"Alonzo's here!!"

And it is liteally at midnight.

Last October, I was at Corner Bar and ppl were leaving to go to this thing.

I aint walkin all the way over there to watch that and then have to walk all the way back to the bar.

The bars in CS close at 2 and there is no late night bar so you miss at least an hour of drinkin on Friday night for that shite.

... what does this mean? Do they take Mike for a walk? That alone would be worth the trip.

Over-rated.

The fact you have to have a practice before each game for those simple cheers should be downplayed not applauded by aggy.

Yes.
