So that is it, yelling at midnight. I was expecting some list of all the awesome that comes from College Station???

Ole Miss and LSU pretty much dominate the tailgating world, so we get to bed early on Friday night with our women and save our voices.

yeah because no one ever got off a bus and walked to the stadium before Auburn invented it.

Yeah, but Ole Miss championed walking to the stadium, only way to explain it being called the "walk of champions".

Just because something is a tradition, doesn't mean it's a good one

Yell practice is looked at as dumb by most outsiders

I thought Tiger Walk was a waste of time when I was in undergrad. Both are old traditions but that doesn't make them good

Auburn's eagle flight beats just about every SEC tradition

The fact you have to have a practice before each game for those simple cheers should be downplayed not applauded by aggy.

Simple? We have the most diverse and complex cheers in the SEC.

Its a pep-rally where they teach their bandwagon fans the cheers.

Every SEC team I know of has a pep-rally for the students somewhere on campus the Friday night before the game.

After a 15 minute walk from teh stadium back to the bar area, you have an hour of festivities before every bar closes....waste of time.

That's also true.
Which is why many parties start after midnight.
Personally, I prefer grabbing a mess of tacos, a bottle of something tasty, and catching up with Sports Center.
But I'm old.

Does this confuse the football players? I mean when us simple folk chant "Defense", our players do not really have to think about it. Maybe this was the reason for your sub-par defense, you are confusing the players with the diverse chants???

I don't go either. My bourbon is much more important. I've always seen it as more for the kids anyways. Hell, as a kid I never missed one. I loved it.

I'm sure typical aggy find the cheers to be very complex, the rest of the SEC? Not so much.

When does aggy get together to practice their diverse and complex hand sign?

Outside of tailgating

I know the educational system is pretty terrible in BR and surrounding areas.... Obviously LSU has the best tailgating in the nation... I for one think so.

I was talking about other things. Is the Tiger Walk actually Mike the Tiger walking around? Someone asked earlier in the thread but nobody answered...

Sorry that is a dumb tradition but OP asks if anyone does better traditions and hangs his hat on a pretty dumb one

Yeah man, they put him on the 50, then place other armored people with weapons in various spots in the stadium, then they send in a christian.

Mike usually walks out of the stadium after the even, hence where the phrase "Tiger Walk" comes from.

Cowbells for State. Anyone not a fan of MSU hates them. It's one of those things that it's only cool if you are a part of it.

Texas use to ring cowbells in the SWC days.

Highschools all over the country will have mothers ringing cowbells on Friday nights.

Nothing unique about it.
