Being a seventh rounder the odds are against him, but knowing the firestorm that would come with his release will the Rams dare cut him if he doesn't work out? I say no.

They will cut him because he is not talented enough for the NFL. Homosexuality and the circus that follows him is not the issue.

But the circus that follows, the gay lobby and maybe the league itself will bring down brimstone.

"Nice to meet you Coach Fisher. Thanks for drafting me. Try to ignore my 3 cameramen, my boom mic operator and my director. You'll get used to them soon enough."

He has the one thing that apparently matters quite a bit though.

Motivation, from naysayers and people saying he can't due to his beliefs alone.

Clowney didn't have motivation this year and that turns the supposed best talent in college football rather pedestrian.

Sam on the other hand a slow kid who isn't strong enough puts up the numbers and wins SEC DPOY.

Motivation. It's enough to get Sam by. Have you seen Rudy by chance?

Sure we have all seen Rudy. And he got in for maybe 3 plays. If he makes the team, when does the pressure ratchet up to play him? Even if there are better players in front of him?

Don't think that the gay lobby won't have a microscope on this one.A lot is st stake. And the pressure will be on.

Isn't it a little early for the Fox News Under The Guise Of SEC Topics?

It's not as if D ends aren't rotated pretty frequently. If he is good enough he will play. If not, he won't.

I don't see enough people being in an uproar over this though that even if he sat on the bench and people started picketing the rams organization would care.

The other thing to consider though about will the rams cut Sam is that the Rams are in a terrible position currently as a franchise. Support is dwindling, there is uncertainty whether they will even be staying in St. Louis. Stadium isn't exactly old, but it is a pretty poor facility. Like Manziel, I wonder how many extra fans Sam puts in the seats? I know it's not near Manziel's level as he is a star player, but I don't think Sam hurts attendance either.

My bad on making a point about two players at the same position on opposite ends of the spectrum talent wise with opposing results.

Further more from here on out I'll pass all comments through you for approval prior to posting.

Thinking about going with frick off gamecocks22 next. What do you think?

You don't think there are people opposed to him simply because of him coming out about his orientation?

I am not saying people who think he is too slow etc don't have their points. My point was simply that there are people against him solely because of what he stands for, and that would serve as a motivating force would it not?
